Re: Getting a Reop for double bubble
Hi everyone, well I met with my ps yesterday afternoon as planned and he straight away agreed that it was double bubble in the right breast. He also agreed straight away that the way the implant/breast distorted when I flexed the muscle was by no means normal and would not improve with time. He said that neither of these problems were anything he could have anticipated and said that in my case his decision to put the implants submuscular was not the right one. So the upshot is I'm in for a re-op as soon as possible, the implants are coming out and the same size going back in but this time over the muscle. I was expecting to be told I had to wait a few more months for healing etc. but he said that as soon as there was availability on a list at the hospital I'd be in. I called my pc at Mybreast straight away who said this could be as soon as next week but that she would obviously have to wait for the confirmation from the surgeon and would call me back on Monday.
I'm not sure how I feel about it to be honest. I'm not cross with my ps as the result otherwise is perfect and my recovery has been great. I guess its just a bit inconvenient having to have them done again but at least this time I'll know what to expect. Another 2/3 weeks off the gym tho and no dancing for another 6 weeks at least  but its a small price to pay for perfect boobies.
Just want to say thanks again to everyone who looked at my pictures and the honest and kind comments really have helped me lots. Your all just great!
Lots of love

excellent
that's great news hunny......i don't mean having to go through surgery again, but you know what i mean getting the problem sorted.
i did think it was double bubble. the good thing is you are getting overs this time and like i said to you earlier you will find such a huge difference when you get these.
i am still amazed how soft mine are and i'm only a week post op, my unders weren't half as soft as this even after years.
i have to say i'm feeling sore down the middle of my boobs and trying to sleep in an upright position is so bloomin uncomfortable but all in all i'm feeling good.
you will find the recovery much easier next time round too babe.
good luck , i can't wait to see the new twins lol.

Hello Sally!!!
Soo glad you are having a re-op!!! (in a good way) I think that it is good that you are to have it done a.s.a.p., guess it is strange getting your head around it all!! But I am sure you will end up with what you expected first off... no point thinking back now, you know they are not right....so positive thoughts and look forward to better things ahead. Thinking of you. xxxx

Re: Getting a Reop for double bubble
Hi girls, thanks for all your lovely replies. Shonagh, glad to hear your healing is going well. I think I'm far more nervous about it this time because I know more what to expect and yea I found the sleeping so hard first time round too and have got into the habit of sleeping on my side now so think I'll be buying even more pillows to prop myself up.
Claire, I am glad its going ahead sooner rather than later I just hope and pray that it goes well.
Finding it hard telling people I'm having to go through it again though. I didn't really take it all in when I met with my ps yesterday and having to explain to family and friends what the problem is difficult - almost feel a bit ashamed which I know I shouldn't.
I'm sure I'm going to have a million questions over the next few days so I apologise in advance.

Re: Getting a Reop for double bubble
Thats it positive thinking Sally!! You are bound to be tired and emotional!!!! You have most probably been dealing with this on your own, and now it has been confirmed you just feel pleased you have not imagined things someone has confirmed it and it has all happened soo quick. It's the bodies natural response...it's o.k. to feel this way.....just go with it...let it go.....and then the anticipation and happy feelings will come back in their own time ....to look forward to brand new squishy boobs you deserve!!!
Be Kind to you!!
Oh!! Happy days ahead xx

Re: Getting a Reop for double bubble
Thanks for all your messages and support. Still waiting to hear back from my pc about the date. She did say this morning that if it wasn't this wednesday it would be 1st July. Just want to know now as I need to arrange child care, transport etc. Wierd to think I could be under the knife again the day after tomorrow especially as they are just healing sooo nicely (other than the double bubble/muscle problems obviously!)
Think I've had a visit from the fluffing fairy too as I bought my first beautiful Ultimo bra on Friday and measured a 34F! Isn't it right that with unders you lose 10-15% of the implant size? If thats right I'm going to have a massive pair of bangers by August time as he's using the same size implants! lol
Anyway, watch this space - soon as I hear from them you'll be the first to know.

Re: Getting a Reop for double bubble
Got the call about an hour ago. Re-op date is 1st July at St. Johns Wood. Needed time to order the new implants which is why it couldn't go ahead this week. Gives me more time to make arrangements and means I don't have to cancel my plans for this weekend.
Feeling much better today thanks Mia. Had a busy week last week and was out lots (therefore drinking/hungover/tired!) which never helps with moods!
Countdown is on. Yay xxxxx
