Am i doing to much too soon??
Im 5 days post op & feel absolutely fine not even on painkillers anymore i know i shouldnt be lifting anything heavy or doing anything strenuous but today i have tidied up done 2 loads of washing & even been into town for some more sports bras although im a bit tired i dont feel like ive done too much my boobs are fine just tingling a bit.
Am i doing too much? What is the reason for not being allowed to do anything at all for the first week? Is it just because of the pain we may be in? I dont know what i should/shouldnt be doing but if im feeling ok then am i ok to carry on as i am? Xx

I'd slow down a bit if I were you. You have had surgery and your body needs a chance to heal. Your implants need stability for the pockets to heal properley and if you do too much you it can lead to problems like bottoming out or cc. You can also get internal bleeding and end up with a haematoma or have a build up of fluid (seroma). Its great that you feel well but at this stage you need to be resting and taking things easy. x

Just take it very easy, look after yourself and thats enough at least for the first couple of weeks. You shouldnt really be lifting up piles of washing or scrubbing the house!!

Just go at your own pace babe. You know your body best. If you feel ok then you're fine lovely. Like I said though, just be very careful not to put pressure on your upper body. Sometimes when you feel so good you are at risk of overdoing it, so just be aware of that hun. As long as you're sensible you'll be OK. Xx

Howl ong until you ladies started doing chores around the house? I am a bit worried I have done too much too soon... been hoovering and cooking and bendy about since about week 2... I wouldn't have done it if I didn't think I could but then I don't know what's going on inside my body :/ Worried I have done too much and may affect the healing :'( x

No neccesarily remember I had an uplift too so I've had a lot more work done so I am still sore around my sutures and my cleavage still swells up over the course of the day as I do things and its very uncomfortable when it does swell up so I have to sit and use an ice pack to bring it down!!

Re: Am i doing to much too soon??
You'd be best leaving the hoovering for a couple of weeks zebra, cooking and light chores are fine if you feel ok to do it...
Just avoid anything that's going to put pressure on your upper body lovely, so no hoovering, ironing to lifting anything heavy lovely. Don't worry about about what you've done already, your boobs look good, so no harm done, but to give your boobs the best chance of recovering in time for your 6 week assessment, leave the hoovering to someone else lovely... If you don't have anyone to help...the dust can wait hun, your recovery can't. Xx

Thanks for the advice! x
I do have my b/f that can help out but to be honest he's just one of them that does something then complains about it! Like, I will do the hoovering but I will just moan about it! So just though may aswell do it myself! But not from today, putting my foot down! Fingers crossed all is ok inside but if it isn't I will be so angry with myself!!!!

Just go with what your body tells you. If I feel pain or discomfort slow downs bit. I was naughty n done hoovering after first few days but I have 3 cats and my bf wouldn't have done it.... Or if he had it wouldn't have been right!!

Re: Am i doing to much too soon??
I am listening to my body today x feeling fatigued and although no pain feeling a bit drained , so it's telling me to rest . Feeling a bit light headed too, I suffer with low blood pressure so I am taking it easy. The upright sleeping has defo taken it's toll x
