Increase in aerola size after BA :((

Has anyone that is post op had a significant increase in the aerola? I am 4 days post op & i know i have a lot of swelling so everything is tight but my aerola on both boobs are a lot bigger than pre-op :( is this normal? If so is this how they will stay or will they go back down once my boobs soften/drop? Althought im very pleased with my results i hate the size of the aerola :(( (i have 350cc very high profile unders) any advice will be greatly appreciated ladies xx

I cant comment on 'if its normal' BUT im pretty sure, mine have increased too and was wondering the same!?

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along and answer you. :thumbs:

Hello chick!

Don't worry to much it's still very early days. I am just over 3 weeks PO and my boobies and areola are still trying to sort themselves out, lol! My left areola is normal now and my right areola is only slightly different and still bigger but I think once all is settled they'll be ok :) I had 380cc unders and don't think my areola will be much different once settled!

I know it's hard but try not worry, it'll be ok Hug

How do i upload a pic/am i allowed to upload a pic for u to see if u think they look really big? Im really worried that they are too big & may not go back to howthey were or even shrink a little bit :-/ xx

Right i have set up an account on picturetrail.com my username is malteser3 & password emma2112 can any of u ladies have a look i have put some before & after pics on some took straight after surgery & some day 3 & day 4. can u let me know what u think please especially the aerola are they huge? I think they are :(( xx

Your areolas can become permanately stretched after a BA as they stretch to accomodate the implants just like the skin does, that said the swelling etc will be making them appear bigger than normal and I'm sure this will settle down. x

I dont mind its only my boob pics if u ladies want a look, i can change my password if i want to add any other pics but i have only set it up so i can show u ladies what im talking about. I also forgot to add the aerola have got bigger day 3/4 than they were on day 1/2 i am hoping these will go down with the swelling xx

You need to password protect your album hun otherwise anyone can access your pics at the mo you can look without putting in a password.
I had a look though and I think your boobies look great so far...looking at your pre-op side pic your areola don't look a huge amount bigger! Try not worry to much it is still sooooooo early on xx

I have done it thanks. & i cant find a front view pic of pre-op but was a lot smaller than what they are now but like i said they are bigger now than they were on day 1/2 so im hoping its because of the swelling that has got a bit more. I stupidly totally not thinking picked up my 3yr old today its not hurt me but i hope its not done any damage!

Mine increased quite a bit in size too. But mine were large but shrivelled up before (if that makes sense?!) I suppose it's a shock at the beginning as there is a massive change for that whole area (was for me anyway!) and it's something you need to get your head around. Plus they change everyday so I wouldn't get too worried at the mo. Let them settle and review it again in 3 months time?

Hi hun I just took a look and I dont think they are too big at all. If you think of a drawing a circle on a deflated balloon and then blowing the balloon up , the circle will be bigger because the balloon has stretched, its the same with boobies I would imagine. Hope that makes sense. Anyway I think they look great xx
