uplift, BA and areola reduction
Hi all,
I have tuberous breasts and have been told that to correct this, I would need an uplift, BA and areola reduction.
So far I've been quoted £6790!
Do any of you have a rough idea about prices and good surgeons for this?
Many thanks!
xx

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
It's a lot of money isn't babe..... But if its what's needed to gain the look you want it suddenly seems that much smaller doesn't it.
That does sound about the right price for the surgery you require babe, but you could shopping around and seeing if you can get a better price.
Which clinic gave that price sweetness?
The advice I'd suggest would be to check all of your surgeons qualifications through the GMC register, with the work involved with doing uplifts, if they also have a qualification in reconstruction that can only be a bonus can't it.
I wish you luck in getting everything sorted babe. Hopefully some of the uplift girls will be along soon to tell you their prices. I only paid 4K for mine but it was only that cheap because it was partly free for revision purposes. Xx

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
Hi hun I had exactly this op 2 weeks ago! Full uplift, areola reduction and 390cc implants. I had Mrs Kat at Spire Parkway in Solihull and I paid £5392. I was quoted £6500 by MYA but I decided on Spire because of the surgeon not the price! Mrs Kat is a specialitst breast reconstructive surgeon. She is a consultant with the NHS as well being qualified to the highest level in plastic surgery. She is registered with BAAPS/BAPRAS and came highly recommeded. I travelled 100 miles for her work and looking at my results I would have travelled 1000 miles!! She is professional, caring and above all a fab surgeon who listens to what you want and gives it to you! She is honest and doesnt come over monet focused. She clearly loves her job and I would recommend her to anyone. This is her website [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
Thank you so much for the helpful advice everyone!
Hi Cookie, it was Aurora clinics that gave me the price. I'm new to this and don't know much about the qualifications and best places to contact so will keep researching, but Dr Adran Richards seems to know a lot about tuberous breasts and has some videos up on youtube, so that's helpful for me as I want to see who has had good results with which surgeon. I haven't really seen this with other clinics! Still want to shop around though :)
5stonedown, congrats on your results! I have just sent an enquiry, so hope I get a reply soon
Thanks again, all xx

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
Will do and thanks!
Just had a reply from Mrs Kat's Nurse at Spire, was told it would range between 5700-6000 plus consultation, so looks like its already gone up in price. She did send over pics of one of the patients though and it does look very impressive, apart from the nipples looking the same, but maybe it's because I don't know what a bilateral BA with circum-areola mastopexy means?!
Will probably arrange a consultation with her after I have some consultations in the East midlands first. I've found a couple in Nottingham which are very well known for reconstruction surgery, so maybe that will help in my case

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
Good luck hun. I am very happy with my results and the after care that I have had so far! Bilateral BA is both breasts with implants and as far as I know a circum-areola mastopexy is a fancy word for a donut lift so its just an incision around the nipple which is used to do the lift. I had a lollipop lift so I also have an incision down and my areolas have been reduced a lot!!

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
Glad everything's going well for you and thanks for clearing that up for me! :) I didn't think it was possible to do a lift without the scar down from the areolas. I've got so much to learn!

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
Yeah it just depends on how much of a lift you need. A donut lift is used when only a little lift is required xx

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
Hi i had two quotes for this in uk around £6500 to £7100
I just couldnt afford this again.
I am going to poland on a 45 quid flight two hours 30 travel to be operated on by Dr Adam Kalecinski. He is registered GMC surgeon and had 16 yrs experience also working in UK Queens hospital. Have a look on eurosurgery website. glowing reports on internet too. I have met 2 patients in person and seen the boobies myself.
He does a good job. He doesnt have to hire a theatre here in uk which pushes up the costs. when you take into account implants are about £500 you have to really consider the rest of the costs.
I dont need to say anything more because im sure you will research him. I will be posting my pics after March 2013.

When you check the GMC register you should always check to see that the surgeon is on a specialist register for plastic surgery. This surgeon is not. He is only registered to perform 'general surgery' and has only been registered to perform only general surgery since 2004 - 8 years ago.
Please do not advertise this surgeon, the clinic or its FB page on this forum.

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
I've only just seen this. Thank you all so much for giving me an idea - really helpful.
Will carry on with the research. I've had to put it off for a while, so here is hoping I get it done at some point next year and if anyone else has had it done, I'd still be grateful if you could give me some additional advice/feedback! :) x

How did your op go? did you get a ba, areola reduction and uplift?
I've recently been to see Mr Netri at Transform who has asked for me to be seen by another surgeon as he doesn't know what to do with me! I've had pics taken and sent off to the respective surgeons, but haven't been told as to when I should hear from them. Definitely didn't expect to be told that he didn't know what to do

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
Wow! I know I certainly wouldn't put myself in the hands of a surgeon 'who didnt know what to do'!
I'd personally continue with your search hun. Preferably look for a surgeon who along with being on the specialist register for plastic surgery which you can check on the GMC register or also on a specialist register for reconstructive surgery as well.
Having a lift is a very technical procedure and if the doesn't hasn't got a clue pre-op, I'd be petrified of what the prospects might be post-op myself hun! Xx

Re: uplift, BA and areola reduction
Hiya,
Thank you both!
I keep looking for surgeons who do reconstruction as I imagine they'd be the best at correcting tubular/tuberous breasts. Mr Netri does reconstruction, which is why I was a bit surprised. He was very polite though and I believe he wants me to be satisfied with the results post op which is why he recommended I see another surgeon at Transform who has more experience. I just wish I knew which surgeons would be the best for someone like me!
