Re: Good luck mrsball - re-op 04.10.12
At home now in my pjs and feel better than I did last time around. Was done on a day case again. Was a different anethetisest and I explained the meds i had last time didn't agree with me so obviously had something better suited. And had an anti sickness jab in my thigh after I come round as felt nauseous and seemed to work.
Chest feels bit tight and lefty sore because of the pocket revision but righty doesn't feel too bad even though had bigger put in :)
Will update tomorrow :) so tired need my bed !!!! X

Re: Good luck mrsball - re-op 04.10.12
Had an ok sleep last night felt strange with the weight on my chest (feels and looks like a couple of bowling balls!) and sleeping on my back in one position all night!
Feels like I've gone back to sqaure one :( I'd just started to do everything normally now I've gone all the way back. I needed the revision done anyway but I wanted bigger and I suppose it's the price I'm paying.
Still feel bit groggy from the ga and meds and think I'm feeling bit down feeling sore and uncomftBle again. :( xx

Re: Good luck mrsball - re-op 04.10.12
A much lower dose of anti b's. Augmentin 250 mg 3 times a day which I'm fine on. Diclofenac tablets which is what I had with my very first ba and I'm ok on them also. And bog standard paracetamol which I haven't even needed today !
My lefty is in more discomfate due to the work on the pocket and my righty feels ok, tiny bit tender but nothing major. My surgeon did say my recovery would be a lot quicker than last time even though I've had bigger implants. I didn't think to ask why though. Wonder if anyone can shed any light on that?! X

Re: Good luck mrsball - re-op 04.10.12
The worst of your op has already been done mrsball. The pockets made, the muscle separated and the skin stretched.
When you had surgery this time, aside from the pocket revision were your surgeon would made it larger/smaller the only thing you should get from this surgery is a slight discomfort from the skin stretching a little more and of course your wounds, so as your surgeon said, you should have a quicker recovery, because this surgery wasn't half as bad as your first. Xx
Thanks for telling me about your meds. I've written them down to show my surgeon, aside from the NSAID (Diclofenic) which I'm allergic to the. Rest is fine. I'm currently on morphine anyway so that should control any pain I have. I just couldn't stand that sickness again, so you've really helped sweetheart - thank you. Xx

Re: Good luck mrsball - re-op 04.10.12
Thanks cookie, I did think I suppose the 'worst' was done 9 weeks ago where my 5yr implants had been and even though they're bigger implants they're actually not that much bigger dimension wise only a bit more projection. So yes I suppose it's just been wound wise on my righty.
Lefty feels better or more secure where he's tightened up the pocket to prevent the bottoming out occurring again. So yes bit more discomfort.
I had a different anesthet this time round and explained after last time with the sickness etc. that I couldn't have celphalixin and told her what antibiotics I'm ok on when I've had them for chest infections etc. I said fulloxacillion and amoxacillian I'm ok with so was given the augmentin as its amoxacillian ( same anti biopics babies are usually given for infections) and at a lower dose of 250 mg.
Ah yes the morphine sould be enough for your pain relief after. Xx

I'm fine with augmenting too so definitely going to ask for that. It's great that you felt ok this time. Fingers crossed I'm the same lol. Xx
Re: Good luck mrsball - re-op 04.10.12
Yes. I'm sure you'll be fine it's just trIal and error of what works for you, so hopefully if you're ok with that anti b, you sould be fine :)
Only 5 weeks to go cookie!!! Sorry to sound dumb but how do they go about a scar revision do they cut out the old scars and make new ones?? Xx

Yeah, they'll cut away all the all scar leaving fresh tissue to create a new one. My surgeons also going to do an internal lift tightening the surrounding muscle tissue to support the implant. I can't wait mrsball. I LOVE my boobs but I really hate my scars. I'm so conscious of them and you can see them above my bra, so yes, I'm super excited to get it done :smiler: xx
Re: Good luck mrsball - re-op 04.10.12
Ah ok, wow that's so clever what they can do . Oh yes I bet it will be the icing on the cake to have perfect boobs. Without the visible scars. !
Well I'm sure the next 5 weeks will fly by I hope so as will be approaching my 6 week post op check up also !! Xx
How long is your recovery time? Xx

Re: Good luck mrsball - re-op 04.10.12
Not sure hun. I've got another consultation with Mr Persico, I think on the 2nd of November. My surgery is the 12th, so I can go through everything again with him then and find out the recovery time also. It'll probably be the basic 6 weeks I think, judging on how the clinics care for wounds. Xx
