I'm 13 days post op and I just had a shower and when I got out my right boob basically farted!! It was so weird I heard it as clear as day and I felt it. Since then if I move my arm in a certain way I can feel a kind of popping/clicking feeling or a sloshy feeling!! Is this normal??

Farting boobs haha are very common hun. The noises you're hearing are just air and fluid in the pocket. They'll naturally disperse into the body and are nothing at all to worry about :thumbs: Xx

I've been hearing a lot of cracking noises over the last two days. It freaked me out the first time. It actually happened during my post op appointment yesterday and the nurse stressed it was totally normal and she was surprised I wasn't a bit freaked out by it as some people do. I am thankful that I'm on this forum, otherwise I would have been a wreck! Haha!

My God... I'm so glad this forum exists and I've got some warning about things that might happen!! I'd have a nervous breakdown if that happened and I hadnt read it was ok!

Yeah well the nurse phoned me earlier to ask how I was so I told her about the noises and she hadnt a clue about it!! She said she doesnt normally work with the breast surgeons and that the nurse that does is off until tomorrow and that she would phone me back tomorrow to confirm if its ok but didnt think it was anything to worry about! I said well I've been on here and spoken to others who have experienced it and told me its normal so I'm not worried but imagine if I hadnt been on here! I'd be freaking out until tomorrow!!!

Ha ha that's really funny! Think my OH is going to love that (still a massive child) lol. It really is amazing how much you're not told about what to expect, like you all say, im so pleased I was informed about this site, life saver! Xx

I agree with Mandy, I am so glad this forum exists!!!
I could just imagine myself losing the plot at my own farting boobs if I hadn't read this tread!
The surgeons don't mention things like this.

Hahaha I have had fart-boob too! The first time I attempted to shave my arm pits (lol anyone else get mega hairy pits after the op? lol) after my op my right boob farted! I must admit it still freaks me out when it happens and I find it a bit minging but if it happens to us all then it's all good :smiler:
