Little confession.
Whilst i am still a bit in limbo about my op date i have a confession that is worrying me..
when asked if i had a history of depression... i said no. mainly because i didnt know the woman from adam and wasnt even sure if i was going to be using the climin so didnt want to start rattling off my private history. i had pnd after my son was born.
do transform contact your gp asking for a medical report?
thanks x

Re: Little confession.
You will have a form and you sign it to say whether or not they can contact your GP for medical info.
If youre not depressed now and aren't having problems that could be a concern to them you should be ok hun.
I too was depressed a few years ago and said no when asked by the nurse so you're certainly not the first xxx

Re: Little confession.
I was depressed years ago and I said no too as I did not feel it was remotely relevant to the BA x

Re: Little confession.
How long ago was it? I wouldn't worry too much. The depression was hormone related rather than body dismorphic (may have made that word up) related. They should only really be concerned about it if they think you want a BA to fix an issue that will never be fixed and that youll come back time and time again using your aftercare package to fix an issue that cannot be fixed.
I guarantee it will be capitailistic money making concerns rather than them being worried about your well being... Cynical I know ;) x

Re: Little confession.
If they do send for your notes and ask why you said you hadn't had it, just tell them it was because it wasn't relevant to the situation

Re: Little confession.
2007 was the pnd but in 2010 when my husband left me (**naughty word**) i had a couple of months of anxiety attacks and was prescribed pills. i just dont feel its any of transforms business and is not related to the surgery i want. We will see if you are right about the money when they can magically fit me back in on the 17th or not!xx

Re: Little confession.
In fact I also had tests in 2009 as I had major stress and was having panic attacks, had tests cos I honestly thought I was dying! I still to this day am amazed at how much stress can effect you physically. I never told them about any of that and it was never mentioned.
Are you having an anchor lift with your ba?
Crossing my fingers that magic really does exist x x x x

Re: Little confession.
Hi Fc, yes thats an anchor lift hun, named because the scar shape looks like and anchor shape. However the scarring fades and will barely be visible and is definatly worth it for the results you will get from it. Good luck xx

Re: Little confession.
I had PND in 2007, and had my 1st BA in 2008. I didn't mention it as I didn't think it was relevant. Me wanting boobs had nothing to do with depression after the birth of my daughter. I also had depression/anxiety again in late 2010 after my grandma passed away, which lasted through 2011, and I did mention this when I had my 2nd BA. They never said anything about it, although I have heard of people's surgery being cancelled over depression/anxiety issues. x

Re: Little confession.
The clinic will only contact your GP is your medical history gives them good reason to babe. If you've given no reason, then you'll be fine... don't worry about it.
The description of surgery you're describing babe is a full anchor uplift.
I've moved your last couple of posts to the 'Uplift, Reduction and Nipple Lift' section of the forum sweetheart. xx

Re: Little confession.
I was asked the same hunni and also said no I like the others didnt think it had anything to do with them. I believe the form you signed for gp was if you wanted your gp informed of your surgery and as cookie said they would only ask your gp about details that could be relevant to our BA not regarding depression, don't loose any more sleep over it hun xx

Re: Little confession.
Hi,
I was asked the same - and told them that I had/was suffering from depression (including postnatal) and was taking AD's.
I also told them that having boobs would make me feel less depressed!! I mean come on - who has never felt depressed at some point?
I must admit tho because they told me they needed to write to my GP about it, I did have a little worry if they may cancel my op, but everything was just fine.
I can't imagine you have anything to worry about sweetpea x
