Incision pain
Since day one my righty has been more painful than lefty. I've always had a little pain at the incision site. I thought it could be a tight stitch or the end of a stitch digging in.
Last night i had the most awful stinging, burning pain. It lasted about a hour, it hurt when i moved or breathed. It was that bad it reduced me to tears.
I rang the 24hr emergency line who asked me to go through to Manchester (i live about 90 mins away) but while i was getting ready the pain subsided to a manageable level. I rang them back and they said take co-codamol and ring the transform nurse.
Mr H took a look under my dressing to see if there was any blood or discharge, there isn't but the steri strips have caused a crease in my skin and it looks like they're healing into my wound.
I've rang the nurse this morning and she's told me if i go through she'll squeeze me in. I'm terrified because i know this is really going to hurt.

Aw sweetie it might be a bit stingy but if that is whats happening you need to get it sorted out now and it will be so much better when the nurse has had a look and sorted it out. What time do you have to go there? Let us know how you get on xx

Re: Incision pain
It doesn't sound like an infection sweetheart The pain generally doesn't go away and there's usually some redness around the site and discharge, or swelling, a hot boob, a temperature or generally feeling unwell.
I'm hoping it's just nerve pain you're experiencing hun. It can be really painful at times, like stabbing pains. Not nice at all .
all goes well today lovely. Will be thinking of you and hoping you aren't waiting too long. xx

Re: Incision pain
There's no infection! Nurse said it sounds like nerve or vein damage. So still in pain but no bad news. I can also have a proper shower now. Yey! I've also been told to massage them so MrH is happy.
