Bottoming out?
Hi girls having a bit of a panic! I know my boobs will go through alot of changes this early post op but my boobs evened out on day ten and now one seems to have dropped down again? Would having a shower for 10 mins or so without my bra clearly lol possibly make bottoming out happen? Is it lack of support that causes it or something else? Thanks xx

Re: Bottoming out?
Hi Pammie. Dont panic hun, I am no expert but I dont think its bottoming out .It may have just dropped more a bit and the other one will catch up. If you really are worried ring your surgeon and see what they say. There really are a lot of changes happening and they dont always happen to each one at the same time . Hopefully Cookie or one of the other girls will be along soon to reassure you. xx

Re: Bottoming out?
hi pammie, im sure its just settling, bottoming out wont have occured through taking your bra off, bottoming out early on is more often than not the fault of the surgeon overdisected the pocket (cutting pocket too big) this is whats happend to mine.
not only is my left boob lower than my right, the scar isnt in the crease its actaully on the boob itself with the implant 'underneath'. and also nipple position, my right sits perfect centre, my left however the nipple is very high and it has no upper pole the impant is all underneath. also feels quite 'loose' compared to my right. and from looking straight on you can see boobs are slightly diffrent shape due to the bottoming out.
but please dont panic you still are very early post op and they will change so much...
if you really are worried phone the clinic and explain your worries an dmaybe send them photos.
have you got photos on your picture trail hun? can i take a look? xx

Re: Bottoming out?
at 14 days PO your boobs are still settling, so I wouldn't worry about it. Treat it like two separate ops, where one might heal faster than the other. Plus, we're all a little bit wonky, so they might not heal in the same way either.
If it bothers you a lot, give your nurse a call and book to see your surgeon. Get him to note in in your file and go back for regular checks.

Re: Bottoming out?
My boobs were like a pair of googly eyes for 3 months Pammie, I swear they were all over the place, one was up the other down, then they'd take turns, then my rightie thought it would head for my back. I swear I thought I'd be wearing my bra backwards!!!!
This early in your recovery Pammie, your boobs are on a slow journey to their final destination and at times it can be scary when you think all is going well and then one decides to play up. But it really is early days sweetheart. Given time, they'll even up again. xx
