Gutted ... Bottomed out :(
Had a post op appointment today with surgeon as was a bit concerned about my left dropping too much and feeling its fallen out of the pocket. Well I he did confirm that my left has slightly bottomed out and I'm only 4 weeks post op I noticed it pretty much straight away after dressings were removed. But I let them settle and just knew something weren't right. So phoned and booked to see him today, and confirmed it :(
So gutted as my right is healing perfect and looks perfect whereas my left doesn't feel right and looks too dropped and my nipples too high.
Anyhow I'm covered in my aftercare and I've now just got to make another date to has revision surgery (day case) where he will push implant up more in pocket and stitch underneath internally. He did say its because too much of pocket was cut at the bottom so it's been overdiscected. :(
Has anyone had this or had it on just one side and had revision? How was pain/ recovery?
Just gutted got to have more surgery and that have to arrange child are for my children , The drive to the hospital etc. but has to be done. I'm just grateful its covered in my aftercare.

I'm so sorry to read this mrsball
I know Kay, our lovely mod here had revision surgery for both breasts having bottomed out as well as some other ladies here. Not sure if we've had anyone with only one side though babe, but I'm sure they'll be along soon to help you. xxx

Re: Gutted ... Bottomed out :(
hi hun, so sorry to hear that. I bottomed out but both sided after having a full uplift with 390's last year. My nipples were high straight after surgery and i have only just had my revision surgery as i needed to heal from uplift. So far so good so i am keeping my fingers crossed. I hope it works out for you and if you have questions please feel free to ask. As cookie says Kay has experienced this too and is fab. Good luck hun xx

Re: Gutted ... Bottomed out :(
Right booked in for 4th October. Again as a day patient and shouldnt be as long procedure. Not looking foward to it as much as i did my ba, but it needs to be done and i suppose ill feel happy when it is done just that whole thing of going through a ga, recovery etc. not looking foward to doing all that again so soon after :(
and just going though a bit of a range of emotions especially guilt, i feel guilty that ive got to have it done and again have help with childcare(my lovley sister has taken the day off work to look after my children) , housework and that my poor husband has to go back up with me driving me up there 2hrs there, 2hrs back!
theyve said i can go and see my local gp nurse who should be able to check my dressng a week after as i cant keep travelling that far esp. for a 10 min dressing change on one boob!

Re: Gutted ... Bottomed out :(
aww thanks mummyme, i know but just feel guilty i suppose as i wanted my boobs done again and theres a problem which needs fixing that i didnt anticipate and have to rearrabge everyone else around me :(
to be honest id rather my husband drive up and back i feel comftable with him driving and it being just us two. and its day surgery again so i suppose i could ask them to cover the car park fee of £35 for the day and the congestion charge of £10. i just feel 'bad' asking them to cover it but then again i didnt ask for this probelm and he has to fix it... hw would i go aout asking the clinic though?! im not good when it comes to things like that, might get my husband to.. hes good at being assertive (down to his job of being a police officer i suppose!) x

Re: Gutted ... Bottomed out :(
Dont be afraid of asking for any charges that might be related to your revision mrsball... chances are they may not be paid as parking fees and travel costs aren't actually stated in any part of your after-care, but its always worth asking. You never know, you just might be surprised and get a payment for that!
If you don't feel confident asking the clinic, you could always try emailing them mrsball? xx

Re: Gutted ... Bottomed out :(
Thanks cookie, always prefer email to a phone call when asking for something! i find i can express myself more i think rather than be put on the spot with whatever they reply with on a phone call.
They have been ever so good though, so i cant fault their 'care', they fitted me in on wednesday amongst his packed day as i was already panicking that id bottomed out, and are always at the end of the phone or email and are ever so friendly so thats a postive i suppose :)
so yes you never know, the worst they can say is no but i suppose if you dont ask you dont get! x
