Had a bad day....
Had such a bad day yesterday.......is that normal so many days PO?
I was just so  which caught me by surprise because everything went really well up to now,....surgery,.... no side effects to the anaesthetic, .....little pain, pleased with the bandaged view that I had, I was doing really well or so I thought.....
When the last of the bandages came off yesterday, and I had a good look at the incisions and stitching they look really bad :pale: all the skin is pulled really tight (I had an uplift with 2 different size implants in to correct symmetry) and it's worse on one side than the other. The line all the way down from nipple to crease is badly puckered. The bigger one has remained slightly bigger as well despite the 60 cc difference in implant size, although the result is probably much better than it was before so not too bothered by this. I guess having nips moved about makes everything look a bit odd afterwards anyways. Every time I thought about it yesterday though and wondered if it was all going to stay like that I burst into tears! Didn't matter how much I reasoned with myself I was really regretting having it done yesterday....
I know deep down in the reasonable part of my head that all the above is probably perfectly normal and that I am very early post op with a lot of healing to go yet, just felt I had to get things off my chest, if you'll excuse the pun......
Feel a bit better this morning and not so regretful, although haven't looked at the scars today. Thought maybe if I ignored them they would go away :)
Apologies for the rant, it has helped just typing it all though.......

Re: Had a bad day....
Sorry you're feeling down hun its normal to feel down or regret so early post op, alot call it the post op blues and you'll soon feel much better as your healing progresses. Its normal to have puckering and for the incisions to not look too great at 9 days po. I would say try not to look at them too much in the early days as it can turn obsessive. Take a big patience pill and concentrate on healing, if you're worried about anything call your ps xxx
Re: Had a bad day....
You're only 9 days PO lovely. We all got that impatient phase, when we just wanted to see our boobs looking great NOW!
As silly as it sounds, try not to pay them too much attention just yet, and you'll notice the changes much more than if you scrutinise your boobs every day.
Don't forget the GA can take a few days or weeks to get out of your system. In six weeks time you'll love your boobs!
xx

Re: Had a bad day....
I'm 4 days out of op ( BA and lipo) and have been crying for the last 2 days to OH.
GA makes a huge difference I know it's not quite the same but I had a tummy tuck just after having my 2 kids ( the skin was terrible and GP recommended me to have one)
The scar across my stomach was awful...red, sore, angry and for a long time was very upset with it..I could see it everyday when I got changed and had a shower etc...
Now I feel totally different...It's almost gone, looks great and was well worth the op...I felt so much more confident. Give it a little longer and you will think it was the best decision you made.....scars do heal.......just do as the others and concentrate on getting better and don't keep looking at them....you will love your new boobs..
take care

Re: Had a bad day....
Sorry to hear you're feeling low Kay But like the others say, you've had a lot of medication and that can affect people in different ways - some people do feel down for a while. Your scars will come round in time and I bet you anything that in a few months you'll be so happy that you were brave enough to go through with it.
Chin up! :)

Re: Had a bad day....
Thanks ladies....I have taken a big patience pill today and had a stern word with myself..... so far so good :)
Had my first shower today, which was wonderful, I found some dermatix to use in a couple of weeks time at a good price, AND I bought new sports bras 2 for £6 (asda), so am feeling pretty darn good at the moment :)
Amazing what a difference 24 hours can make x
Thanks again ladies your posts have helped reassure me loads about the scarring and puckering x

Re: Had a bad day....
Hi Kay,
still feeling very sore and emotional and ? myself whether it was a good idea to put myself through all this...but boobs saggy and empty, no matter how much training I did 'love' handles wouldn't/didn't want to leave me...
When I considered the BA and lipo PS told me I should have had it done with TT.....but that wasn't a option given to me at the time...
But looking at my stomach now and the pics then...it's a million times better and the scar has faded so much you wouldn't be able to tell I had a TT ( scar goes from one hip right across to other so a pretty big one)
So this thought is keeping me going at this moment in time...
hold on and keep your chin up it will be well worth it x
