My op is this monday and i still haven't had my admission time! Is this normal? Do you think i should call the clinic tomorrow and ask if they know yet? I just want to get everything planned like what time we should leave etc as the hospital it 2 and a half hours away! Thanks as always xxx

Re: Admission time!?
And... Ooooooo Monday! 4 sleeps left! I was a Monday too and the weekend run up seems to make it more real, think it might have something to do with sleepy Sunday's, it's a good prep day for making it hit home. Good luck! X

Re: Admission time!?
It will be over in the blink of an eye. Try to remind yourself that your day is FINALLY here and try to relish all your emotions as much as possible. I had a proper break down the day before.
Just try and turn it all into a positive; like instead of thinking how much you'll miss your little one when your in hosp, think about how nice it will be to read a book undisturbed etc.
Once monday is finally here it will all be over so fast you'll wonder what the worry was about. Just a shame you have such a long drive to dwell :( x x

Re: Admission time!?
I think it's worth giving Mya a ring Pammie! They will probably know your admission time by now so wouldn't hurt to ask - as you say it's better you know ASAP so you can plan esp. as you're so far away! Good luck for Monday!!

God im so glad i not the only one that had a long drive our's was 3 1/2 hours i was so quiet, my other half said it was a lovely peaceful long drive
my appointment wasn't till 11.30 they gave us time to travel up because they knew we had a drive ahead of us, so i got afternoon surgery maybe you will be the same hun.....
Good luck it's nerve racking but all well worth it

Re: Admission time!?
I got my admission time when I booked my surgery months ago with transform, they all seem to be so different! With things like surgery slots you would think they have to be ultra organised well in advance!
Oohhhh! I can only imagine how excited you must be! I'll be in the same position next weekend! Getting really close now :) xx

Re: Admission time!?
Don't worry Pammie. It's common for us to get last minute calls for our admission, it's quite possible you'll get your call tomorrow, so all's not lost sweetie. I'm sure you'll get your call soon xx
Re: Admission time!?
I'd say give it until about lunch time tomorrow and if you still haven't heard then ring again and really emphasize you're having to travel a long way and you need to know. Don't let them say they'll ring you back, offer to go on hold or ring THEM back after a certain amount of time. I presume they're not open on a Sunday so they definitely have to tell you tomorrow! I understand you're feeling extra stress because of the "not knowing"...every tiny little thing worried me before my BA!
Re: Admission time!?
Thanks hun yeah i will ring again tomorrow its a bit crap really! As u can see by the time I can't sleep again! I will let u know when i find out my time. Xx
