Preperation for op??
I know i cant use fake tan, deodrant, fake nails etc on the day but i have hair extensions in do i have to have them removed for my op? and do i have to go to the hospital with no make up on? This sounds silly but i am more worried about not having any make up on than my op i think!! I dont want to keep ringing the clinic asking stupid questions all the time. thanks girls xx

If you were with your boyfriend for 10 months it's the highest time for him to see you without make-up. And I assure you.. he won't even notice it ;-)

Re: Preperation for op??
As long as your extensions have no metal in them, they're fine hun.
If you feel conscious about travelling to the hospital with no make-up on, then you'll be fine to wear it sweetheart, but once in your room, you'll have to remove all traces of it.
Your body will need to be washed and clean, that will include your fake tan hun and no deodrant.
Different clinics/surgeons have different opinions about false nails so it would be best to check this with your clinic. Some feel being able to see your toe bed is enough, others really want your finger beds to be visible, so definately no nail varnish and check with your clinic anout the false nails.
Do remember as well that if you plan to go on the sunbeds afterwards your bboobs are going to be ultra sensitive from having the skin so stretched and will be very susceptible to burning until the sking has had time to heal and relax. The scars too will need covering, but these will need to be covered until you're one year post-op because they are at risk of pigmentation (going brown) if exposed to the sunbeds/sun. xx

Re: Preperation for op??
The extensions are just glue and hair :heehee: that's all. I know its stupid the whole not wanting people to see me without make up but if it wasnt for my dark circles i would be fine. Thanks as always girls xx

Re: Preperation for op??
I just went in as if Id just finished my shower, no makeup or any producuts, no nail varnish etc they cant let you in with false nails or varnish as it gives false readings on the sats monitor for your oxygen levels, which im sure you dont wanna mess about with! lol.
Im sure ur bf will love you without makeup, he will be seeing u after surgery anyway so let him see the good no makeup instead of straight after surgery when ur tired! ha. I know what you mean though, i felt totally naked! but its been good to give my skin a rest.
I hope it all goes well, I wish I could do it all again I had a really good experience xx
