Re: Underwire bras
Hi,
I'm 10 weeks and no where near able to wear an underwire (plus they don't seem to fit properly yet). I think the general advice from the majority seems to be 12 weeks.
Yours look huge now - are you happy with your re-op, looks like you should be xx

Re: Underwire bras
The bra definately makes them look bigger than without a bra, so like them in the bra at least :D I have been told 12 weeks for underwire, first op she said 6 weeks
Re: Underwire bras
Pretty sure you should wait til 12 weeks honey, did you wear them at 6 weeks last time? I'm still in my sports bra which is horrible as it's tricky finding things to wear with it - especially in this weather!

Re: Underwire bras
I had to wait to see my surgeon at 3 months because the nurse didn't have the authority to give me the all clear to wear underwires.
I would have been ok though, my surgeon asked me if I'd been wearing underwires but I was still stuck in sports bra's.
Saying that, I've spent about an hour in a bra since then... I'm so used to sports bra's now! x

Re: Underwire bras
I had my post op check at 4 weeks rather than 6 as my surgeon was going on holiday, and he said generally he wouldn't advise wearing them before 6 weeks but from what he could see I was doing really well so could start introducing them gradually from then.
I didn't want to risk doing any damage and wanted to wait until the six weeks (which would be tomorrow) but I gave in 2 days ago and wore an underwire to see Gareth Gates in Legally Blonde the musical

Re: Underwire bras
I was 12 weeks post-op hun, but many do get the all clear mostly around the 6 week mark 'after getting the all clear from a surgeon' xx
Re: Underwire bras
My surgeon said 1 month for underwires at my 1 week post op checkup:)))

Re: Underwire bras
Oh thank god! I've been reading this and worrying that i was the only person who was told one month. My surgeon seems to be pretty relaxed about the whole bra thing though. At my one week check up he actually told me off for having my sports bra too tight and had to remind me that they weren't going to fall off.. Also, he suggested i try on a real bra and take pictures to see the progress every few days (hence the avi)

Re: Underwire bras
I was allowed at 6 weeks, although it wasn't comfortable right away because my boobs hadn't softened or dropped, and I needed time to get used to the wire again. I wore them about an hour a day and then built up the time gradually. I now wear them every day.
