Boob Job Bandits

Barclays bank clerk Rachel Martin pleaded guilty to stealing £46,000 - splashing the cash on a boob job, liposuction and teeth whitening.
The mum of one pinched the money from her branch over eight weeks, spending the cash on her bid to become a model.
But she is not the first to use the proceeds of crime for a boob job...


What a dope

In March Kirsty Hartley, 23, appeared in court over a cannabis farm in her bedroom.
She allowed dealers to set up a £16,000 drug factory after she was promised an £8,000 boob job.

Hartley pleaded guilty to producing cannabis and received an 18-month community order.


Inside job

In January a court heard how Mandy Lorenz, 23, recruited three men to
rob her at gunpoint at the bank where she worked to pay for
breast-enlargement surgery.
The trio threatened her with an air pistol and a knife as they walked off with €95,000 from a Sparkasse in Werl, Germany.
Lorenz called a cosmetic surgeon to arrange her boob job later the same day,
but police had her under surveillance and she was nicked when she led
the cops to her accomplices.


Heartless con

In May Arizona woman Jamie Lynn Toler was charged with fraud and theft after
appealing for money for bogus breast cancer treatment then using
it to pay for breast enlargement surgery.


Plastic fantastic

Sisters Rishona and Ramona Downes, 25 and 27, funded their boob ops using stolen credit cards.
The women spent more than £4,000 each on enlargements using details supplied by a friend working for a credit provider.
The sisters claimed they didn't know the cards were stolen but were convicted of fraud at Southwark Crown Court, South London.


Not a credit to herself...

In January last year Emily McMillan admitted fraud and theft after racking up £10,633.88 on credit cards at finance firm JP Morgan.
The PA used the money to pay for a friend's breast enhancement, a holiday and her brother's mortgage.


Reaping the benefits

In January 2010 Nelle Kellaway was given a suspended jail sentence, a
supervision order and 40 hours unpaid work after admitting benefit
fraud.
She and her late husband conned taxpayers out of £43,000
with council tax and housing benefit swindles despite owning London
homes worth £1million.
Kellaway, 41, spent some of her cash on a boob job in Moscow.


Big spender

Debt-ridden lawyer Veronica Hyland stole more than £90,000 in two months after forging a power of attorney over the finances of a millionaire's blind widow.
The 50-year-old mum of two spent her ill-gotten gains on a boob job, a
£37,000 Audi, jewellery, school fees and a £6,000 pedigree chihuahua.
She was arrested after a legal secretary told police about the scheme - but
the next day spent £5,000 of stolen cash on cosmetic surgery.
Hyland, of Stone, Staffs, admitted 16 charges of theft and forgery involving the widow and other clients.


Megabucks fraud

In 2009 a city lawyer paid for breast implants and £40,000 earrings after committing a £7.4million fraud.
Kate Johns, 39, of giant Japanese bank Tokyo Mitsubishi was convicted
of using letters of credit to obtain a money transfer by deception and
acquiring criminal property.

Reclaiming assets

A judge ordered law student Nina Burmis to sell her £450 car after deciding it
would be too impractical to remove her breast implants.
The 19-year-old had been given a nine-month suspended sentence after her
£500 cheque handed over as a deposit on her £3,000 op bounced.


Cindy doll

Yvonne Pampellonne pleaded guilty to burglary, grand theft, and
identity theft after using a false name and fake credit details to get
breast implants and liposuction.
When the credit card owner called police over the unexpected $15,000 charge to his account, cops used the serial number on the previous implants removed at the time of the op to
identify the woman who had posed as Cindy Payne at the clinic.


Unwanted gift

Leanne Howells, 32, was bought a £3,600 boob job by her boyfriend - but
dumped handyman Derek Bryant when she found out he had forged a stolen
cheque.
She said: "I wish I could give my new breasts back - they are proceeds of crime."
