The tape is coming off tomorrow (I hope!!!)

Hi girls,

Haven't been on here for a few days.

I have my check up appointment tomorrow at 1115 @ Transform to see the nurse and I cannot wait!

I'm soooo fed up of shallow baths, flannels and getting people to wash my hair over the bath!

I'll be 8 days post op tomorrow so I'm assuming (and hoping) they'll take the tape off as they didn't mention coming back another time???

The strangest thing happened yesterday in that my boobs felt different, heavier and not as high up on my chest.
I got all excited thinking that they had dropped slightly but when I took pics and compared them, they look exactly the same!!!

Also I'm in a 34DD sports bra but I've been impatient and measured myself using an online measuring guide which tells me I'm a 34C !!!! How does that happen??

Ohhhh I bet you're so excited! I had my first shower today, was BLISS!

I found the same as you, I'm wearing the exact same size sports bra as you, yet the online measuring guide told me I'm a 34C too, I tried 3 or 4 of them and they all said the same.... must be wrong because I tried bras on today and ranged from a 34DD to a 36DD!

Ooo whats an online measuring guide??. Im thinking of trying it wilh my rice boobs in to see how accurate it will be once they're implanted..do you think that'd work?

Just ignore them and wait a while to get measured properly as they change soo much in first few weeks. You know you have boobs you can see them ...try an old one on that should confirm their madness All the best for tommorrow xx

Oooh, tape-off day is the best day... it's like it's the first step towards getting back to normal with new boobs!

really your getting yours off tommorow?it says in my transform post op information you get it removed 10-14 days?i had mine done the same day as you and im getting my tape off friday.maybe you should ring them and check.as when i asked the nurse she said it had to be 10-14 days after the op.so you dont want to go all the way there only to find out you will have to come back another day.x

I know, mxbabe, I did think that.

I was told 10 days but he booked me in for tomorrow. He didn't mention anything about having to come back two days after.

It's probably too late to call anyone there now.
I'll pop along and see what they say. I'll be gutted if he unstraps me to check then straps me back up again! Plus I'll go mad!
He wouldn't book me in that early for nothing though would he? I remember him saying "You'll be 8 days post op" so surely he must have known?

The tape is starting to come unstuck now and is leaving horrible black sticky residue all over me! Gross.

Danables, if you type bra measuring guide into google, it'll bring loads up. All of them tell me I'm a 34C though so don't know how accurate they are.

i am not seeing the surgeon on friday im seeing the nurse.are you seeing the surgeon then?i thought we only see him 6 months after thats what i got told.are we ment to see him then?i didnt even see him after my op atall.as i stayed over night.and i think i was the last one to have it done.nones told me nothing about seeing him again.im confused now x

Seems to be different wherever you go! :)

I went back on day 7 and had the dressings changed, then would have been day 14 to have them removed but it was a bank holiday yesterday.

I think I see the surgeon at week 6!

I had my op same day as both you ladies and I went today to have bandages off, but have come away with some small dressings over the incisions for a couple more days so probably will be better going a bit later.

So pleased though as those big bandage strap thingys were driving me crazy.

I saw male nurse today, not Mr Khan, and like you mxbabe_69 I never saw him after my op either.

Those big strappy bandage thingies really hurt comin' off though (or B could be my very low pain threshold!)

He asked me if I wanted to peek before he dressed them again....I was so excited, I jumped straight up off the bed and then nearly passed out! :pale:

Really gutted now as I didn't really get a chance to have a good look.....Aw well, only have to wait till tomorrow. He gave me 4 more bandages and said to take off these ones tomorrow and have a light wash and then redress if need it so will have a good look tomorrow. He made me another appointment to go back end June, so I guess that's it.

I'm seeing the male nurse tomorrow mxbabe, haven't heard anything about when I see Mr Khan yet.
I saw Dr Khan after my op but all he did was come in, poke my boobs and say, "you can go home" before walking off! So, you didn't miss much!

I've been strapped up since 9am on the 19th so technically, it's 9 days!!! God, I hope they come off tomorrow completely. Although dressings over the incisions will be better than the strapping that's covering my entire upper body at the moment. Am running out of high necked tops!

And Kay, there's no way he's going to stop me jumping up off of the bed! I haven't even seen what my boobs look like yet!!

I had mine off after 10 days, then one of my micropores on day 14 then the other a few days after that.
