Too soon ?
I had my op on the 30th June & I think I'm one of the lucky ones as I experienced very little pain and seem to have recovered really fast. I stopped painkillers a day after coming home and haven't really had any problems.
I have a home gym and was thinking about getting in there asap, but even though I feel ok do you think its too soon to be getting back into this?
I do abs and interval training on the treadmill every day, then have a day for weights on legs, triceps & shoulders, biceps & back (used to do chest but defo wouldn't chance that now)
Obviously I'll take it easy the first time and stop if it gets uncomfortable, but is there anything I definitely shouldn't be doing? Or would you suggest to wait another week or so to be safe?

Re: Too soon ?
Hi hun, your avi looks great I really dont think its a good idea to do any exercise, apart from walking , for a few weeks yet. You may feel ok on the outside but your boobs have a lot of healing to do on the inside, the implants need to start to adhere to the tissue and you will have internal stitches etc. If you think, we are not really even supposed to lift our arms for a week!! Obviously its up to you hun but I think you could be risking damage if you went back to exercising so soon. I was told not to even hoover for 6 weeks on both my b a's and they were different surgeons.Hopefully someone else will come along soon to help too.xx

Re: Too soon ?
Yes that's what I was thinking. I definitely don't want to undo all of the good work done so far! It's just so hard having a gym here but having to sit and watch my weight creep up instead :(
Re: Too soon ?
Yes but you paid an awful lot of money for your lovely boobs and just for the sake of a few weeks waiting its not worth the risk. Plus if you did do some damage it probably would nt be covered in your aftercare because we are told no exercising for x amount of time. Honestly hun you will be able to lose any small amount of weight you put on for sure xx

Re: Too soon ?
I'm pleased to hear its going well for you hun!
As for exercise absolutely NO heavy lifting or exercise until you get the all clear from your surgeon, while you may FEEL ok your body is still healing and you're at risk of hurting yourself. If you were to hurt yourself by going against your surgeon's advice this could also avoid your aftercare so please take it easy hun. It's boring and frustrating but there's plenty of time to work on your fitness when you get the good to go from your surgeon (generally 6 weeks) xx

A set back in your training is a sacrifice you would have made made aware of Maria before you had your BA. I know it's hard when you feel good and want to get back to normal life lovely, but think about how much you wanted your new boobs pre-BA, think about the courage it took for you to make the decision, think about all that money you have paid of for your new boobs and now think about your recovery..... Is jumping back in the gym earlier that you've been advised worth risking all those things that have brought you to where you are today?
I'd probably think not Maria. Yes, you may have a set back, but it'll be nothing that you wont be able to get back to AFTER your recovery lovely.
Keep walking and keeping yourself active and keep in mind that your still recovering to get the very best from that recovery and in doing this you'll get the very best chance at the best result possibly, because you 'listened' and 'followed' the experts advice. xx
