Pre-op
Hi girls,
I had my pre-op today, got swabbed for MRSA and told if it comes back positive my op date will be moved Ive got my fingers crossed it wont but working in a hospital I know I could easily have it. Thought I would come away feeling great that it would all be sorted and just countdown to the day of surgery but feel like its hanging over my head now worrying. Rubbish!! Well hopefully itll go well.
Dont feel like I can get excited now in case it gets knocked back! arrgh!!!

Re: Pre-op
Yeah the nurse just asked all the usual health questions, diabetes, blood
Disorders, previous operations etc then took photos and did mrsa swabs. I don't know I'd everyone needs them but with me working in hospital they are very careful. Anyone can have mrsa without any problems but with open wounds etc it's obviously a major no-go! Fingers and toes are crossed and if I don't hear anything by next week Ill start to get excited! X

Re: Pre-op
My nurse said it is very rare that you have positive result and even if you do they will prescribe antibiotics course.
Chin up! You have nothing to worry about.

Re: Pre-op
Im feeling a bit better, only thing I'm worried about is if it's positive I haven't got time for the course of medication before my op date so it would be postponed. Starting to get my excitement back again. I want my new boobs!!!! Ha x
