I think preparing for your BA is important Jay, getting yourself into a routine of massaging some cocoa butter or Bio-oil into them will help get the skin really supple and ready for the skin stretching. Continuing with this post-op, ensuring you get no lotions or oils near your scars will only benefit the skin lovely, so just getting yourself into a routine to maintain the skin helps.
In terms of what you'll need for the scars. When you're able to use anything on your scars (generally around 6 weeks post-op) most recommend Bio-Oil, but to be honest I think cocoa butter is just as good and feel the massage, rather then the cream, helps the scarring more as using the circular motion to break the scar tissue is what's going to make for a neater scar.
So just maybe some Cocoa butter and if you'd like, some Bio-Oil too babe. xx

I have bought some in preperation as I am trying to be organised too! I bought Re-Gen cream it is a cream version of bio oil so inbetween the two it says it reduces the apperance of scars and helps improve the condition of skin with scar tissue, I have been using it on my stretch marks and they def look better :) xx

I used Hibiscub hun, you use the night before your surgery, then again on the morning of. It says to wash your hair in it too, but I just just used my regular shampoo/conditioner, but scrubbed with the hibiscub, which I bough at Boots chemist hun. xx

Is hibiscrub a must have? Should I make sure any cocoa butter/bio oil is not on my skin when I have surgery and how long after should a start using it on them again straight after or should I wait a certain amount of time I don't mean the incisions I know to leave them well alone. What is best to clean my top bit with after the op I have heard babywipes is that right xx

Hi jay88 I used a bit of Bio Oil on my boobs in the couple of weeks leading up the the op and also after, but never used anything at all on my scars as I was paronoid about infection.
Twinkle I don't think Hibiscub is a must, I never got round to getting any, but it's a good idea as it gets all the germs off your skin before the op.
And on the day of your BA after showering you mustn't use any any creams or oils on your skin at all cos it needs to be squeeky clean ready for surgery. xx
