consultation booked with mya

hi i have my first consultation book on the 16h july with pcc in birmingham and the surgeon im meeting is mr schiavone can any one coment on him ? any information would be great :) sooooooooooo excited !!!

I've never heard of the surgeon sweetness, but you'd do well to research him by checking his name on the GMC register along with his qualifications. If he is foreign check they're on a UK specialist register for plastic surgery and being a specialist also in reconstruction surgery is always a bonus.

If you're looking for a BAAPS/BAPRAS registered surgeon then check their registered also. Also type the surgeons name into google and check for any reviews good or bad about the surgeon.

If after YOUR research you are happy with the choice of surgeon, only then go for the consultation lovely, it's not worth going to see someone if you're not happy with the choice, so maybe call and request MYA give you a list of surgeons that work in your area, then research them all... You generally get a feel from your research who you want to see and it's far better to choose your own surgeon from your own research then having one chosen for you from a list with a open slot for a surgeon.

That all sounds a bit long winded doesnt it?... But the extra effort from you to get the best for yourself is well worth it lovely. xxx

like cookie said I would definitely ask for a few surgeons in your area to have a choice to research. I havent heard of this surgeon either. Not that thats a bad thing of course! there are A LOT of great surgeons and I havent heard of them all hehe

how do i check the registers i have tried typeing into google but not having any look finding the surgeon? do you have links :) x

aww brilliant only problem im having is i cant seem to find him when i type in mr schiavone on the register?? but have typed his name on google and found surgeon edgardo schiavone registration number 6079202 ).who is on the gmc register but not sure if this is him as i only got his second name i have posted on the mya forum if theres any experiance with this surgeon and typed his name in to there forum and he fits the profile of this edgardo but still im waiting for a reply :)
also found that this surgeon works in birmingham but little confused as he currently Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Hospital Group in Birmingham, UK surely theres not two of him :-D

I found this on the MYA space forum, written by a MYA space mod

And he seems to be the same Edgardo if you look up the working in italy stuff. Also he has a website but I can't link anything because I' m a new user. Hope that helps xxx

Here's what I found for you lovely, he's registered with a licence to practise; this doctor is on the GP Register and on the Specialist Register.

He qualified at Laurea 1990 Universita degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza" and he's been on the specialist register for Plastic surgery From 11 Jan 2005.

yeah i found all his information :-D and website i beleive its the same guy he use to work for the hospital group and thats the same information i found on mya forum also i havent yet found any experiance from anyone who as had him yet tho :-D i have been sat at my comp all day haha

Its so important to get reviews/feedback from other women babe as they're the 'real women' who can give you their opinion on the surgeon.

I presume this wont be your only consultation anyway babe, so maybe use this one as a sort of practise run if you like? then maybe do your research and 'you' then choose a few surgeons you'd like to have do your surgery for you? xx

this is my first so im mega excited i kinda get good idea and its a push in the right direction i want a consultation with my breast and transform too :-D and then i need some time like 3-4months when i saved the rest of the cash haha then ill pick one :-D but i have this amazing forum to research and do some digging on surgeons and get other peoples experiance also gotta love google lol :-D xxx i have learned so much already i never even knew about the register and all the questions to ask its brill so im so glad i joined :)

I'm glad we're helping babe and it's good you have some time inbetween consultations and getting the money together as it gives you more time to digest everything you're being told by the surgeons you see before making your final decision. xx
