Does anyone know if you have to wait for your breasts to completely drop before measuring for bra size? Any information would be greatly appreciatedBra size 48411

Hi Mel.

I waited 6 weeks before being measured, when I was given the go ahead to stop wearing sports bras. That said, they're still changing 5 months down the line and one of them is still to drop completely so they may well change again.

You can get 'fitted' into bras as soon as you get the all clear from YOUR surgeon to wear wires sweetheart. Dont follow other womens post-op instruction, always follow your own which tailored to 'you' This is 'generally' around the 6 week post- op mark. It's definitely not worth going for a fitting anytime before you get this all clear from your surgeon as I guarantee your sizing will be wrong and you'll just waste your money sweetie.

When you do first get fitted its not worth going mad as your breasts will continue to heal and will continue to change, so I'd just buy the basics of a white, black and a nude bra so I had a bra to wear with anything.

Many women 'fluff' as their healing progresses and end up having to buy bras in larger sizes later on, so it's sensible at first not to go bra shopping mad No matter how tempting that may be lol

Fluffing is the word used when your implant falls and settles into position. As this happens you'll lose some of the upper pole fullness from your breasts as the implant relaxes and fills out the lower pole of your breasts, this protrudes the breast forward babe and it's at this time that you will increase in bust size.

Not everyone will fluff, but in all the time I've been here and seen MANY women pass through, I know of only 2 that didn't fluff. Xx

I went to la senza about 3 months post op and she said there's no point going crazy bra shopping as I had a long way to go, I'm nearly 8 months now so could probably could get measured but to be honest I just buy whatever makes my boobs look good!

I went for a quick fitting yesterday as I needed a new sports bra. The one I'd been wearing had been feeling loose around the band (32E), the new one is 30FF Shocked but it fits perfectly! I know this might not be my final size though so I'll get measured again at 6 weeks to buy a basic non wired bra I think :) x

I was looking at bras in Tesco last night and there was hardly any in big sizes that weren't like 36/38+ back size.

I found one 34F just to look at the size and it looks huge, I hope my boobies end up this size although the choices were limited and grannyish.

Someone needs to do a bra range for augmented ladies with huge hooters and little backs!!! Dragons Den anyone haha?

Debenhams is great for big boobed small backed ladies and they have many ranges in store. Specialist lingerie shops also such as Bravissimo are amazingly stocked with beautiful bras to fit us. It's really not difficult at all lovely to find sexy, young, pretty bras if you know where to shop Bra size 184153 You may get the odd good find in a supermarket, but if your looking for 'lush' you're definately not going to find that there. xx

Bravissimo are also amazing for small backs and big boobs.
Also the tape measure method is only a guide....... according to the tape measure I am a 30 F/G (30 underbust and 37.5 overbust) but professional fitters at Debenhams and Bravissimo have both fitted me at 30GG.

Please please please get professionally fitted ladies - you ave paid a lot of money for your newbies and they need to be properly supported!

I've been measured different sizes.. So just go with what ever bra feels comfy for me! Usually a 36d as the 34 just about covers my nipples x

Hey ladies,

Im not too sure how the whole fluffing works for over implants? Ive heard they stay the exact same as they do pretty much as when you first see them?

Can anyone advise on this please? xxx

I was wearing a 34F with bra extender in after surgery and then a 32FF when the swelling round my ribs went down.

It was only when I was professionally fitted (by Bravissimo and Debenhams) at 6 weeks (when I was cleared to wear wires) that I was a 30GG/32G.

I think I am going to go and get refitted at 6 months to see if that size is still correct as they are feeling a bit snug! (although that could be the half stone I have put on!)

I was a bit shocked when I found out how big I was as I don't think I look that big although 32B/C to GG is a BIG difference. I am still learning how to dress them as I have a tiny waist so I don't want that hidden but I love them so much (as does my OH)!

I am a really impatient too honey but you will be amazed how quickly it flies by, I can't believe I am coming up to 6 months!

How are you feeling? What size bra are you wearing at the mo?

I didn't think mine looked very big but I am assured they are and my OH is a self confessed big boobies man!

The first shower is bliss! I must have spent about half an hour in the shower the first time post op because if felt so good, lol! The only issue I had was when I leant forward with no bra on the weight shifting felt weird so don't move too quick!

I would have thought 400s would give you a D/DD.

It is funny when I started this process I wanted to go back to D/DD and then I absolutely didn't want to be bigger than an F but I liked the sound of it and then I came out as a GG!

After my fitting I said to my OH "you know how your favourite glamour girl is a 30G?" "Well, I'm a 30GG!" His jaw dropped and he just said "Good Girl" and then had to tweet it, lol!
