How did you entertain yourself during recovery?
I thought this might be a good thread for pre-op ladies to prepare for as it can get a bit boring doing nothing after a while....
I made sure I had plenty of DVDs at the ready, I'd gone to the library and got some books to keep me occupied too, even a book on BAs! I've now got a kindle so after my next revision I'll just download a few books for that this time. I also made sure when I felt well enough I went out in the fresh air and just started by having a short walk around the block at first, then building myself up further till I could go out and have a good walk each day to keep any excess flab off that might have piled on if I'd have just stayed sat on me bum! lol
I also had BJSF at hand too, just coming on and having a chat or getting some reassurance was so important for me whilst recovering... I think that's it for me.

I'm going to reply to this while I'm in my pjs, snuggled on the sofa watching TV with my duvet and pillows......
So of corse the above!
BJSF has been massively entertaining too when all you can think about is boobs its good to have this forum, currently running head to head with Cookie for top poster so you know I'm obsessed
I've also been out for small trips each day (few hours here and there), anything too much and I'd start to feel dizzy/tired.
Going to Tesco express has been no.1 getting loads of microwave meals and snacks so my cupboards (and belly) have remained topped up!
Out for meals so no cooking!
Walking the dog.
Garden centre yesterday (surprisingly enjoyable!)
Bit of shopping here and there (nothing major).
Websites where you can just stream any TV show/films have been great.
Catching up with friends.
Basically anything easy that takes up a few hours, you soon miss your pjs and want to get the kettle on after you've been up!

Defiately lots of lolling about watching dvds - but hate jarmies really so swishy pretty nighties and fluffy robe for me. I was less restrained than loobs and I cleared my paypal account buying stuff on eBay ... mostly underwear but also some figure flattering dresses now I had somethin to put in them

Loving this discussion.
I am only just starting out on this journey & i'm already obsessed with this forum. All I can think about is the new I am going to have.
I have spent my day off today jumping between here & underwear websites. I think i'm going boobies mad!
I'll prob spend my recovery all cozy on the couch chilling out watching rubbish & avoiding housework like the plague. (sounds like my days off at the min mind u )
hugs xx

I made it something like 6 days pretending I couldn't pick up the kettle until my Mum figured out I was milking it for all I had! :heehee: X

Re: How did you entertain yourself during recovery?
I stocked up on DVD boxsets and a couple of new books! I also had a few people pop in to visit and keep me company for an hr or two. But to be honest, that 1st week post BA I was absolutley shattered and couldnt make it through the day without a nap. I blame the GA and the pain meds! Joy! x

Re: How did you entertain yourself during recovery?
Films, I think I watched every series of prison break. Internet window shopping picking out clothes for summer little did I know we'd never have another proper summer in Britain. Watched a lot of the comedy channel or whatever it was called back then paramount? Watched the crime chanel, read a few books and became even more obsessed with this site and it's never really stopped since. Oh I also entertained myself by looking at my boobs in every shiny surface that I could see my reflection and of course my shadow, plus I would have to flash myself often in the bedroom or bathroom mirror, I refrained from the hall mirror as it's by the glass front door. This entertained me for months lol
Re: How did you entertain yourself during recovery?
Same as the other girls really. I made sure I had plenty to watch, magazines, games I could play with my children, plenty of easy snacks! I've gotta be honest for the first week I struggled to keep my eyes open for long. X

Re: How did you entertain yourself during recovery?
I borrowed the entire box set of sec and the city off a friend, it was an absolute god send!! I never realised how awful daytime tv is!! I would certainly recommend stocking up on DVDs, a lot of the time I was too tired or uncomfortable to read a book it was nice to just watch something for hours on end! X

Re: How did you entertain yourself during recovery?
I slept heaps in the 1st week, I PRE recorded tv programmes and films on sky, I became obsessive reading through BJSF, lol. Loads of snacking, loads of online shopping and researching holidays! As soon as I felt upto it I tried to get out for a short time, even if it was going for a cheeky coffee and cake ;)
