What to expect with scarring
Just a quick question, I was just wondering what your scars look like when they have healed fully. They are healing well for me but are still reddy/purplish and I was hoping that they will turn whitish? Any photos will be appreciated xxx

Re: What to expect with scarring
Hi Emma. Your scars are still very new and will take a fair bit longer to heal properly. I had my first op 2 yrs ago and then replacements 18 days ago. ( Had PIPs taken out. ) The first time after about 6 months my scars looked almost the same colour as my skin. Dont know what will happen this time but I think my surgeon cut out old scars and did them from that. They are still really raised and red so cant judge yet how they will be, but to be honest the way my boobs sit unless I lift them up (not something I normally would do!! ) then you cant see mine. A friend had hers done 4 yrs ago and her scars are barely noticeable. But a common theme runs through this forum, we are all different ! so we heal at different levels. Your boobs look great and hopefully so will your scars too. Lots of love x

Re: What to expect with scarring
Scars will finally heal to a whitish line, it's hardly noticeable once it's fully healed and won't bother you at all sweetness. xx
Re: What to expect with scarring
Two of my friends have shown me theirs, both 5 years PO. On both girls unless really looking for them they weren't visible.
I think it also depends how well you look after them, such as keeping them out of the sun. I have a keloid scar on my arm which whilst flat now, I didn't protect it when tanning and so it's going to be big and pink forever :( x

Re: What to expect with scarring
I keep wondering if my scars will ever fade, all my bras sit right on the scar and the skin always seems red.

Re: What to expect with scarring
They will fade eventually Oracle. If you're finding your bra band is irritating the scars try using a panty liner to cushion the sensitive skin from the band - Works wonders hun! xx
Re: What to expect with scarring
Mine are so far up into my crease that you barely see them, unless I lift my arms or something. Mine are fading really nicely! Its just like any 'scar' really with regards to healing, the only difference is as its a surgical scar, it will be neater as it was a 'clean' cut with nice straight edges rather than an injury with raggedy edges. hope this helps x
