subglandular
Hello girls
Does anyone know why a surgeon goes subglandular as opposed to submuscular ? Whats the reason for this ? I thought I was sub muscular but just read my paperwork from my redo 2 weeks ago (pip replacements !! ) it says subglandular. Thank you x

Re: subglandular
If you were 'submuscular' (under the muscle) before your re-op and your surgeon possibly opted for 'subglandular' (over the muscle) this time it may well be because they thought you now had enough breast tissue to have the implant over the muscle and this for your surgeon may have thought this would get the best result for 'you'
In general, going under the muscle is used for women with little or no breast tissue and very little fat.
Over the muscle are better served for women with good breast tissue or a good body fat to cover the implant sweetheart.
Either was will give a woman a great and natural result if it's the right placement tailored to them personally. xx

Thankyou cookie you are a star. That makes sense to me. I have plenty of body fat !! Not sure what I had done first time but as I had plenty of body fat then (2 yrs ago) I would assume it was the same.Just want to say I am a newbee and I am very impressed with you and your site. Thankyou again.x
