under or over??? :/
Ive now had my second consultation with Mr Alvi at Stethix :)
He is lovley and i was with him for about 50 mins and he realy made me feel comfortable.
After he examined me he said he thought i would be better with unders as i dont have that much breast tissue at the top of my breast and over the next few years if i loose weight or loose any breast tissue with age then there is more of a chance of my implants being seen.
I now have quite a dilema on my hands :(
Mr Liew said overs would be fine, Mr Avi suggesting unders :(
Also Stethix covers you for 3 years and Mybreast 5 but i realy did see where Mr ALvi was coming from in regards to the loss of tissue at the top of my breasts!!
Who bloody knew that having AMAZING boobs would be this complicated.
Mr Liew looking at 380cc overs
Mr Alvi looking at 420cc unders
HELP!!

Re: under or over??? :/
I would weigh up the pros and cons of both placements, or get another opinion from another surgeon to help you. I've heard lots of good things about Mr Liew, but can't comment on Mr Alvi as I've never heard of him or the company he works for. I've had my implants 3 years lost and gained weight and my boobs never changed. So it's up to you hun, give it a lot of research.
Re: under or over??? :/
I agree with misf1 sweetness, maybe get a 3rd consultation as a decider maybe?
I do know Mr Liew is a very good surgeon who knows what he's talking about and I don't think I read a single complaint about him. Like misf1 I also know nothing of Mr Alvi though.
If you your breasts can take either unders or overs, your in a good place to decide what YOU want.
I had this option when I had my re-op and decided overs were best for 'me' but only you can decide what's best for yourself hun. xx

Re: under or over??? :/
I'd definitely get a consultation with a third surgeon and see what they think would be best.
Do your research regarding different placements and decide what you would feel more comfortable with, there's pro's and con's with either but I'm sure if you put your trust into the right surgeon (this is where researching surgeons will also help) then you'll make the right choice :) x

Re: under or over??? :/
Sounds like a very sensible idea thanks ladies :) xx
I now need a free consultation to decide the two :)
I origionally wanted overs as i like the look of the fullness if you get me?
I was made up when Mr Liew said that but now im worried that ull be able to see the implant and ill look ridiculous :(
Im thinking of posting some before shots so you guys can see?
Im wondering if other people had the same sort of starting point as me they could say wether they have any visable rippling or the implant can be seen etc

Re: under or over??? :/
Well I had always prefered the sound of unders, I never thought I'd have enough tissue to cover the implants and was worried I'd look "stuck on". Saw two surgeons and both said overs are fine - they both prefered overs so maybe if I'd had a consultation with someone who prefered unders I would have been advised differently! I did my research and decided to trust the judgement of my surgeon.
I did post earlier asking if overs looked fake and my concerns, it won't be too far down the list if you look for it!
Now the swelling has gone down I can feel where the implant starts when I run my hand over the top, but not in a greatly defined way just be suze it goes from skin to a full feeling! I think I'm glad I have overs now, so much less invasive and for results I wanted anyway!
I can show you my pic trail if you like? I'm only early post op so I have a lot of changing to make and they still need to drop etc but it may give you an idea.... X

Re: under or over??? :/
Thanks :)
That sounds like a really good idea, in the mean time just do some research on him and see what other girls have to say... It may give you some extra confidence in him if he has a good rep! And when you see him he will be able to set your mind at rest one way or the other atleast acknowledging your concerns!
I saw Mr Clarke and he asked me why I thought unders were better before he told me his views, so he took those into consideration when he explained to me! It helped settle my concerns and I can't argue with them looking at my own results :) x

Re: under or over??? :/
Hi, I am fairly slim with very little tissue with bony collar bone and sternum. 34aa before (ie ironing board!). I had overs for my first set and could feel the implant underneath. (these were Trilucent and had to be removed, then I had overs again (silicone this time) and I could really see the edge of the implant. I had a sort of bubble right on the cleavage of one side and it really bothered me, so years later as I was getting my nose done, I thought I would get them changed and was told unders would be much better as the muscle would give some padding over the top of the implants so I wouldnt feel them. Had these and they were much better - could not feel the implant or any ridges at all. Unfortunately they were PIPs and had to be removed, so just had fourth set last week. These are also unders (Nagor) and again so far cannot feel any ripples or bubbles, so I definately think unders are better if you have very little tissue, but certainly worth getting some more opinions of the ladies on here, and other surgeons.

Re: under or over??? :/
My PS ideally recommended unders for me because I had almost zero upper pole and a lean figure. On the other hand I've got an athletic build and strong pec muscles. I voiced my concerns and that I preferred overs for fear of muscle distortion, and he could see why this would be an issue in my case. I don't want to modify my exercise routine or feel the implants move under my chest, and I prefer that it's less invasive and in the natural breast plane. However my PS wouldn't give me big implants if I had overs, which I was fine with since I didn't want to go big anyhow.
In some cases unders are the only option, there's no better option, both have their pros and cons. When you're given a choice you have to decide which pros and cons matter most to you.
I'll send you a PM so you can see my pics xxx

Re: under or over??? :/
Thanks, I'm really happy with my size!
I know what you mean about having more things done, I'd love to have my spider veins on my legs removed. Think I might wait though, I hear it's not cheap xxx
