Gap between boobs
Hi there
I am one year post op and I still have a really big gap between my boobs>> does anyone else have this? The gap is about 3cm!!
I have been really patient as I thought that this may disappear with time as they got softer but it hasnt..
I have been trying to find bras that will push them together but mostly these just push up your boobs and not move them together..
If anyone has any advice or suggestions I would love to hear it!!
Thanks

Re: Gap between boobs
Aw hun 3cm really doesn't sound all that bad to me! Were your breasts far apart to begin with? I know I'm no expert (especially being Pre BA) but I believe they can't really correct a gap to much as they have to create a pocket within the confines of your original breast tissue. One of the mods may able to tell you more x

Re: Gap between boobs
Wishful is right, if you had a gap pre op you're likely to have one post op too to some degree. A good push up bra should push them together though this isn't always as easy with unders if your muscles haven't fully relaxed
I don't think three cm is a big gap personally, I have a personal peference for a natural gap though, and glad I still have one when my bra is off xxx

Re: Gap between boobs
The girls are right sweetie. I know that's not gonna be what you wanted to hear babe, but the distance between your natural boobs pre-op doesn't change post-op
Like Roxanne, having a natural gap is my personal preference too, but there are others like yourself who like the look of a cleavage.
A little tip to help bring your boobs closer together is to buy a push-up bra in a smaller size than you need, it's not comfortable, but you will get the look you desire sweetness. xx

Ive also got quite a big gap,i also did pre ba,but like cookie says a size smaller bra really does push them together!,a bit uncomfortable but worth it for a cleavage on a night out !!!x

Re: Gap between boobs
I was told this was common with unders when I had a consultation with Mr Meleagros... Maybe not what you want you hear but at least you have the piece of mind knowing its normal :) x

Re: Gap between boobs
Aw hun, it is all your anatomy and they can't really change that. But as cookie has said the push up bras in a smaller size do help (I also have a largeish gap). A surgeon can try bigger/wider implants to get the gap smaller, but you do need to discuss this option prior to surgery.
Re: Gap between boobs
i have a large gap too i wear push up bras just to give me a good clevage, but when im naked they do have a large gap xx

Re: Gap between boobs
Unfortunately that's the one thing the surgeons can't change as that's the build of your body. When I lie down the gap is huge which you would expect but it looks strange like to huge water melons on my chest lol

Re: Gap between boobs
Hey Hun, I think this is quite common, I have a largish gap without a bra and wear a padded push up bra which makes the boobies look less apart although there is still an obvious gap with the bra on.
It's funny as I too was hoping for a "crumb catching cleavage" (heard someone hear use thar expression and loved it) but when a friend of mine who has an amazing pair of natural boobs saw my cleavage and the gap, she thought it looked really good and said she wished hers looked like mine, which actually made me feel better about the gap.
Have you asked someone else how your boobs look? Sometimes getting feedback from other people can help as we can be way to critical of ourselves.

Re: Gap between boobs
Thanks so much for all your feedback and helpful comments. I will try and get a size too small next time.
The other thing I discovered was the sticky strapless bras as these can be pulled as tight as you need and this seems to work really well.
