just curious...sizing for future reop?
I really hope this is not something I have to think about for a very long time, but either way I know at some point it will matter. I am extremely happy with my 240, it was either these or 210, PS fit the 240cc at my request, though I gave him the choice during the op. I may be in the minority here, but I have never had the desire, still do not, nor would I want to go any bigger than this (trust me, I wasn't even tempted to go bigger when I was an exotic dancer in my 20s and surrounded by lots of big boobs), that's just my personal preference, I love bigger on other ladies, but just not for me :)
It seems like it is the norm to go bigger when one has a reop, I know some ladies do this deliberately because they couldn't get their original size first time around. But this would also be the norm when one is replacing their implants after years of wear and tear, because the skin has stretched. What would happen if one didn't want to go bigger, or even downsize with age, would they have to tighten or lift breasts then? I just had a donut mastopexy, so extra scars and expense was just something I had to live with in order to get the results I wanted, I may have gotten away with a bigger implant no lift instead, but it wasn't what I wanted. Would I just have to do the same thing over again, to tighten stretched skin?

Obviously I have zero experience in this, but I would assume it would be down to how gravity takes its toll on you within the next few years.... I imagine if you have very minimal sagging you may be ok, or would only need slightly bigger implants. If you spend the next few years never wearing a bra, you'd probably have to think more about your options! But I haven't even got my first boobs yet, never mind a second pair so it's just a guess x

Hi hun, if you wanted to down size then yes you will probably need a lift to tighten the skin around the implants and prevent the bll in sock look. As for would you need bigger in future, it depends how your boobs age, you may be able to get away with having exactly the same size or very similar. Might be a good question for the surgeons on here.

Every single re-op I've seen on here, some wanted to go bigger some were advised to go bigger, none went smaller (except me) but ALL had to have larger implants for re-ops over a year old. I presume the weight of the implant over time will have some impact on your breasts. Smoking/breastfeeding/aging will also add to the aesthetic effect too.
When I needed a re-op, the first thing discussed was size and I immediately said I did NOT want to go any larger! I swear he nearly fell off his chair :heehee: but I've NEVER advised 'bigger is better' because I don't believe it is, we're all different and want different looks from our BAs, some prefer large boobs and others prefer a more moderate look and I believe all BAs should be tailored to that individual. When I went smaller, I needed an uplift to ensure a nice aesthetic effect. xx

I went smaller too coookie. I don't miss the weight of the larger implants at all. I assume I will need another uplift next time again but hopefully not for another 10 years or so.

I guess someone who's had their implants for a long time, and doesn't want to go bigger, and perhaps even downside slightly with age when the time comes should accept the possibility of a lift then. I guess it's a trade off between more scars to acheive exact desired size, or less scars but possibly bigger than desired if the skin has strethced with time. I know which one I chose first time around, I'd be ready to go through it again, hopefully not for a very very long time xxx
