All booked in Scotland very excited!!! :D
Hello everyone!! I've got my Surgery date for 22nd may! Only 5weeks to go been researching for years and now it's my turn. I'm currently a size 8 and 32b! I'm getting 390cc nagor impleo overs at the Nuffield hospital with Mr Ben Chew.
Just wondering if anyone else has similar stats? Surgeon? Hospital?
Or any advice for the next few weeks to get me organised?!
Thanks in advance ladies xxxxxx

Re: All booked in Scotland very excited!!! :D
I'm approaching 4 months post BA. I've had a great journey so far and appreciate my boobs so much! Physically, the healing still continues, I may get a sore day if Ive been wearing an underwire bra all day. Scars are looking good. Boobs are softening nicely and feel a part of me. I have some numbness under each breast which is a slight worry in the back of my mind, but feel reassured ( from info on here) that there is still time on my side for this to rectify. Mentally, the impact it's had on my life is huge. Shopping is a new hobby of mine! It's been the best thing I could have done, apart from having my babies, passing my driving test, and getting married!
Im sure you'll get to know all the ladies on here and you will receive great advice and tips! X

I didn't take Arnica even though I did buy it. I only had 1 teeny bruise that was gone in a few days. No harm in taking it though. I have Nagor GFX/ High profile/ Overs/ 300's. In my 20's i was a full B cup and went down to a 30AA cup (post babies and breastfeeding, now a 30DD. I'm not good with size prediction but you may reach an E cup! Front fastening bra is a good choice. Much easier in those early weeks. X

What profile are you getting? There's a stats thread on here, after BA. I will try and link it for you. TBH I'm a DD and don't look that big in clothes, more like a C cup. Sorry didn't mean to panic you! You will look great! X

Re: All booked in Scotland very excited!!! :D
Hi ikelly! Im from Glasgow and had mine done recently with Transform Glasgow at Rosshall hospital. Im the same stats as you, im a size 6/8 and was a 32B, i got 380cc and they look perfect on me and really suit my frame, no way are they too big!! They are giving me a size 32DD nicely and look fab.
Hope you dont mind me asking, was it MYA you went with? I didnt go with them due to their poor service with me at the beginning, i tried 3 times to get a consulation with them and THEY cancelled on me each time because their nurse/consultant was never available or couldnt make it, i left them messages and emails and they ignored me! So i went to Transform and my god im so glad i did, the service ive had off them is like night and day compaired to MYA! MYA obviously are not that bothered about getting new business, considering i had the cash ready to pay in full as well, they missed out on good business!
I was told of a good surgeon that works at Nuffield too but he doesnt work through MYA or Transform, sorry i cant remember his name i could find out though, i had called Nuffield directly to get an appointment with him and the receptionist said no! She said the only wasy i could get to meet him is if my doctor put forward a recomendation! What a joke so i didnt bother with them.
I had Dr Jim Kirkpatrick as my surgeon and he is the best ever!! Such a sweet man, he's a Geordie and just lovely, he specialises in breast reconstruction for the NHS but works also with Transform for BA's. I would highly recomend this surgeon to anyone.
I hope you had a better experience than me!
Good luck xxx

Hi ikelly, aw thats great youre happy with your surgeon at least, youll be fine no probs! I guess its just your pot luck/first impressions with the company that do it for you, im not at all shocked that MYA have closed down, each time they cancelled on me they couldnt even be bothered calling me but sent me an email, but by then it was too late as i was on my way there and had to reschedule work etc! Talk about raging! arghhh.
Ive heard the nuffield is good though so youll be well looked after!
The only pics ive got are me in various bikinis, ive got a couple just after post op but there on my boyfriends phone and he's in brazil working right now, ill see if i can get him to send me them over so i can have a log of everything. Sadly unlike most of the other girls on this site i never dont any picture trails or anything like that, i dont have any pics pre op either, let me see what i can muster together...
I promise you though, my DD's definately dont look big, i can even fit an E cup comfortably but it depends how i want to look, the E cup bras look a bit boring on me if you know what i mean, cos they cover most of the boobs, but the DD size is quite flattering as it shows more boob.
No one that knows me can even tell ive had anything done in my normal clothes believe it or not, its only if i wear something low cut that you can see theres a definate shape there! My surgeon offered me either 340cc or 380cc and i paniked thinking the 380 would be too large and im not the kind of person to show off my figure im usually quite shy, so i didnt want to look like jordon or anything, but i ended up leaving it to the surgeon to decide on the day. The first thing i said when i woke up was what size did i get? I was so relieved when the nurse said he gave you the 380s love! At least i know i will never have any regrets wishing id chose the larger size as thats just what i got anyway.
My boobs have taken a good 5 weeks to settle down, they were sore/twingy/numb/itchy/swollen and everything in between! But i can assure you after you hit the 5 week post op mark youve done it! My boobs look fab right now i honestly cannot believe the figure they are giving me like ive never had before! Its the bext decision ive ever made in my life.
Give me a couple days to gather some pics etc to give you an idea...

Nahhhh, I've had one surgery using Arnica and one without, my healing was the same both times. Some Clinics recommend it some don't, if your clinic hasn't recommended its use and you dont want to use it babe, don't worry about it, you'll be just fine.
Yup I'll get shopping soon been told to get 2-3x 34DD front fastening bras the very though if being a D gets me so excited!!
It's said in general you should get the surgeons recommended size, in your case a 34DD, then you get a cup size bigger, which would be a 34E just incase you are fuller in the bust, remember, even a surgeon can only 'guestimate' your resulting size! Then you get a band size bigger to accomodate any swelling around the ribs you might have, so that would be a 36DD. If you keep the reciepts for the ones that don't fit you can then return those and get the correct size you need.
What implants/position and Sise did you ladies yet?
I had overs, 410CC Allergan CUIs, this took me to a 32F. Bare in mind though babe when looking at pics or taking in other womens stats might only give you an indication of what you may achieve, but there is so much variation in sizing from women even with very similar stats and same sized implants. This is because every womans body anatomy is unique to her, so what may be right for one women may not be right for another. This is what we pay our surgeons for, they're the experts and if you have any sizing, postioning or any other concerns go back and ask again about them lovely. A second consultation pre-BA is very common and well worthwhile IMO.
My friend got her BA 6months ago and said the numbness is just leaving her now!! Xxxx
That's good. For some women it can take up to a whole year for sensation to return and most of us do get full sensation back.
Do you have any pictures I could see seen as we are similar frame and implants?
Can I ask you as a Newbie babes to just take a moment to read our forum rules regarding pic requests [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. Thanks chick
You might also want to add your surgery details to the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] section of the forum hun if you like so we can all send our good luck wishes your way on your special day.

Hey lovely as your pic status reads "Please do not contact me asking me to share pictures" and you've accepted a pic request from a newbie, can you please change your pic status to reflect your picture status choice in your profile gorgeous. It just stops any confusion on the board if we're all reading from the same page. Thanks chick xxx

Hey cookie, done it! Thanks for pointing that out, it's the first time I've done picture trail so I didn't even realise it said that on my profile. Sorted now. I'd put a separate thread up for anyone wishing to see my pics too.

Hey cookie thanks for all your info its invaluable!! Your full of knowledge love it haha. Ive put my calednder entry in for May seems so long away haha .
Are you able to tell me how to get a count down thing on my posts?
Barbiegirl your pics are fab! We are very very similar pre op so if i look like you after the op ill be over the moon, must be a nightmare trying to get bikinis though most come in sets like 8 top 8 pants which is fine for me just now!
Im going to go to the shops after work this week and get my array of sports bras bought and thanks cookie ill keep the reciepts.
Did you ladies use bio oil or cocca butter to prevent stretch marks? Ive got a few just now that the surgeon said would be less noticable but just dont want anymore as they were really pink and firey when i got them as a teenager!

Re: All booked in Scotland very excited!!! :D
Glad you like them! Yes it's been a nightmare getting nice bikini sets the right size as most nice sets oy sell one size the same for top and bottom, but gladly I found loads at new look and asos.
I've used both cocoa butter and bio oil every other day but not over my scars. Ive got a couple of stretch marks but they're not too bad.
I don't know which works best which is why I used both! Maybe some of the other ladies on here could advise better on that.
Have fun bra shopping! Although any type of shopping is good lol!

I started using the cocoa butter about 2 weeks before the op but was moisturising a lot as i normally would also, i dont know if its made any difference or not but it cant do any harm i suppose!
