Re: Loans
Most of the big companies offer some kind of credit scheme. I went with HMG and know that they offer a 0% loan (you have the option of paying a preportion of it up front if you prefer, so say 50% payment, 50% loan) but that is only if the agreed amount is paid within 12 months. If you do go down the loan option route read, read and re-read the paperwork. You'll lose the low interest rates if you miss a payment and the standard interest rates can be quite high (not too dis-similar from the way a store card works). If you know you can meet the monthly payments you'll be fine. One of the best pieces of advice I was given before my op was to make sure that from Day 1 I have some sort of contingency fund should anything go awry and I need a re-op. I think that credit is fine, providing you have the funds to pay it off should anything go wrong. If you can't get interest free with whoever does your op maybe look at 0% credit card for 12 months. If you need to extend it you could always then transfer the balance. Good luck! x

Re: Loans
Not sure how relevant this is to you, but with some companies you can use a BMI card to cover the costs - really easy to apply for online and 0% interest for the first 6 months.x
Re: Loans
I got the HMG 0% thing. I think the company (v12) is pretty strict (if you want to overpay they charge you three pounds!!
But if you have spare money I'd just put it into a savings account for 'just in case'
Or like someone else said, a 0% credit card, then you can transfer the balance after a year.
