Re: April Buddies
I was speaking to a woman last night who had unders a year ago. She was very very honest about her experience! Scared!!
I can't believe it. 20 something days!! I need to go and get all my pj's and a bra, I think I'm in a bit of denial!!
That's nice that you're getting pampered you lucky thing! I'm only in b'ham so just a quick drive down the motorway and I'm there. I want to go back actually and go through everything again.

Re: April Buddies
I've paid! Thats it - all booked!
I'm so excited, cant believe that this time next week I'll be getting ready to go to the hospital.
I havent had a pre-op - they sent me a medical questionnaire and it said that if anything came up on the questionnaire that needed more investigation then they would be in touch, but havent heard anything, so all must be fine.
Need to buy some nice new PJ's now and slippers - hmmm, maybe I could look at pretty bras too whilst I'm out shopping!!

I've only bought two different sized sports bras at the moment. Once I've had the op and seen which size I'm in, i'll buy a couple more to live in until they settle down - then the serious bra buying will commence!

Re: April Buddies
This is so exciting!! Though, it would be worth considering, instead of PJ's getting some joggers and a zip up hoodie - then you can leave the house without having to get changed!
I've been really lucky and am pretty much pain free-I could pull on a normal (slightly big) vest top on day 1 after my op.
My mammouth BA story is up if anyone wants a read - sorry it's so long, I tried to go through and delete stuff, but i thought 'I would want to know that' so i left it all in!
Good luck girls - it April on Sunday!!

Hi girls.....I'm on April 6th....sooooo excited!!! I am a 34A and I have no idea what cc the ps is going with.....Im getting Mentor memory gel...moderate profile...unders.....can't wait to get to know you girls and read about your experiences. I am from the US and I really enjoy reading your posts.....your language is very pretty and graceful compared to how we talk here.....your measurement system is different than ours so some stuff is difficult for me to understand.

Woo yeah lulu April on sunday!!
Jay, how come you need to loose 10lbs before surgery?
Madridge, how come this is your second time, are you having corrective surgery?
Hi Pagirl and welcome! Hmmm not all of us have a graceful way of talking haha! There are quite a few ladies having their op's in early april too. I'm having unders aswell, very nervous about the pain!

Re: April Buddies
LuLu....that is a great idea about the hoodie and sweats cause I have NO button top pj's but I have lots and lots of hoodies and sweatpants....yeah I'm a tad frumpy but after I get the girls I will feel more sexy! I think I am the only one on here that the ps doesn't do a pre op appointment....grrrrr!! I guess I will have to call them and ask them what I need to bring cause the only info I got so far is what you ladies suggested to take to the hospital...I don't even know if I am supposed to take a sports bra with me or not. Well I better go call!
7 MORE DAYS!! Yay!! I did make a ticker but the dang thing disappeared on me

Re: April Buddies
I think the pre-op thing is individual to each clinic. I am still waiting to hear if i need one, but my patient co-ordinator said that if you are healthy not to worry its not essential, only if you have some kind of condition is it more important.
You can always take a couple of sports bras with you in your bag and if your doctor wants you to wear them afterwards then you have them ready.

Re: April Buddies
Hi everyone !! I'm on the 6th April . Officially crapping myself now !!! EeeeK . had pre op consultation a couple of days ago so this time next Friday I'll be in theatre !!! just want it done now the longer I have to wait the more nervous I get ....I'm hoping for some Valium before I get any needles to calm me down !!!!
Hi Loobs ! yes this is my 2nd time around..I had them done 20 years ago and things have been great up till about a couple of years or so ago when I noticed one boob started feeling a bit weird... had an MRI a couple of years ago to check and things were ok and recently an ultrasound (as it was getting firmer) and its cc . Given they are so old now and the new implants are so much better/safer plus the cc I have no choice but to have a redo unfortunately. XX

Re: April Buddies
Do most places give you Valium if you're stressed about the op? I have a huge needle phobia, although I'm willing to look past it for the op but maybe if they can make me feel a bit better before it might be errm.. Easier! If not I'm going to just take a deep breath and think about boobies!!!!x

Madrigle....when I had my tubal ligation they gave me a shot before wheeling me in and boy did I feel good....I was off in la la land telling the doc how hot he was and just having a grand ole time.....I don't know what that shot was but my nerves were beyond calm...Im sure they can give you something before they actually put you under to calm you :)
