Pre-Op Help !!
I have my pre-op on Thursday and I'll be trying the implants for sizing. Did you take tops, dresses etc to be sure that your clothes will still fit after the op??

Re: Pre-Op Help !!
no, I didn't take lots of clothes, just make sure you dont wear a black top as it's decieveing (black is slimming). I did the rice test after I'd chosen my size to see what they may look like after my ba, but this wasn't a good indication of size as the rice test looked much bigger than they turned out.
Re: Pre-Op Help !!
Yes I was told not to take black. The sizing is still confusing me

Re: Pre-Op Help !!
He made me put my top back on minus a bra and put the implants down my top, so I know my clothes will still fit! I'm having fairly small implants though, sure if your having bigger ones it would do, some women who are an 8 sometimes have to buy a 10 purely to accomadate their chest!

Re: Pre-Op Help !!
My PS had a whole bunch of implants and sports bras in different sizes. So I didn't have to take anything with me. The sports bras compress the the implants, so give a better indication of what they may be like size wise once in since you tend to lose a little once they're in your body. xxx

Re: Pre-Op Help !!
Hi, I had a separate appointment to try the implants in a bra, not at the pre op. when I done the fittings I just took a 34DD sports bra and a white stretchy top, that was quite good to see roughly the final shape. I'm afraid the nurse at my pre op was less than helpful and couldn't assist me with sizing.
Good luck xxx

Re: Pre-Op Help !!
I just made sure I wore a white, relatively tight top so that I could get a good idea of size once I had the implants in and then got dressed again, as black and/or baggy is misleading. xxx

Re: Pre-Op Help !!
I think I'm take a vest top which is tight and stretchy.
Barbiegirl - I hope I get a nurse that's helpful, this is such a big decision to make and don't want to get it wrong
Thanks for your help xx

Re: Pre-Op Help !!
Hi Hun, I took a few of my favourite tops with me to see if I'd be happy with the size. I found this really helped to give me a fairly good indication. Having said that they still come up a bit smaller once in you xxx

Re: Pre-Op Help !!
I went back a second time to try the implants again as I was being indecisive. I found the stretchy un supportive bra they gave me to try on the implants completely unrealistic so I took in my old wonderbra plunge style (actually made by panache these days) that was a 32DD in to try them. I also had one of my fitted black work shirts and a coloured vest top with me.
The 460s looked massive and I was worried that even they were too big. The 525s gave me a ridiculous silhouette so I decided to stick with the 460s.
As you know I went for the 525s at the last minute and I am so glad I did. The implants really do look smaller once they are in you.
That said I did have empty boobs (lots of skin) so he literally just filled them up again with the implant, I had very little stretching.
Don't get my wrong, my boobs are big, but they don't look wrong on my frame. They balance my hips.
Will you be more disappointed if your boobs are smaller or bigger than you expected when you wake up?
