Thank heavens for frozen rice!
Hi girls
Had a bad day yesterday. The swelling was really painful and i was feeling a mess. Its painfull under the armpit area so i dug some little bags of frozen rice out of the freezer and put them under my arms - it is heavnely!! The pain just dissapears.
Today is a good day. I cant stop looking at them in the mirror. I cant wait for the swelling to go down so i can see what kind of shape they are going to be.
They look very strange at the moment still. How long will it take for the swelling to go?

Awwww the hospital gave ma an ice pack I dont know what I would have done without it!!!
I think swelling can last a while depending on your body, mine went quite quick (1 weekish) but I think Aurora said she still has some at 3 weeks.

Got this link from one of our ladies on this forum and was really reassured as my twins are still swollen and sitting high (14 days).
Stay strong!!

Re: Thank heavens for frozen rice!
I get swelling if I do too much cos I feel ok. For example I went to the gym two mornings in a row this week and felt fine at the time but think I wore my body out and so had a little discomfort and swelling. Had the past two mornings off the gym and am feeling the best today that I have in a while.
Also managed to sleep on my left side a bit last night which was heaven as I love laying on my side. Still too tender to lay on my right at the mo.
I am coming up to 3 weeks and mine are dropping. Interestingly I haven't lost much if anything in size so I think they are fluffing too as they are softer. I was wearing a 34F after surgery and was back in a 32 back within a week so a 32FF bra and I have stayed that so far.
