Right breast red
Hello
I may be being paranoid again but my right breast is scaring me. I have really bad bruising, which my surgeon after my op said was ok. I constantly have a niggling pain in this breast especially when I move about, this pain can go under my arm.
Tonight my breast is more red, not sure if this is due to the bruising or just that skin has been stretched......it's more around my cleavage area.
I've read so many things regarding redness and about seeking advice straightaway like infection etc and where yes it may be feeling hot, it's not any larger than my left and I don't feel feverish.
Aw honestly this is all scaring me. Is this a part of healing?...I so hope so.

If you have any fear of infection it is always best to get it checked sooner rather than later. How far post op are you and are you on any antibiotics?

I would call your PCC and get it checked out just to be on the safe side and give you some reassurance Hun. This nothing worse than sat there worrying. It is probably fine and just part of the healing process, everyone heals differently. It is really common to have bruising for sometime after and you are still very early days. I had lots of different pains for a few weeks after.
Hope this helps xxxx

Update: nurse had no cause for concern, she thinks my boobs look fab! Pinkish red more than likely appearing from my bruise. Both scars healing well but obviously the bruised breast scar looks a bit inflamed, so I feel so much better. Have to make sure I stick to my arnica :) xx
