Moisturizing Pre op boobs
HI Girls,
I just wanted to know if anyone else out there moisturized there boobs before thier op.
I am booked in for the 2nd June. a couple of days ago I thought it would be a good idea to start moisturizing my boobs twice a day with a good Moisturizer and also Bio Oil. my thinking is that moisturizing helps to elasticate the skin therefore will help with the stretching process after my op.
did anyone else do this? and if so, did it help?

Excellent, I cant help but think that it is the best thing to do.
My mum said that she moisturized her belly everday when she was pregnant and she doesnt have one strech mark.

i did the bio-oil too every day for just over a week pre-op and it def made my skin nice and soft and springy!! surgeon said he would only put the size i wanted if he could get them in, otherwise i would have had to go down a size, so i really wanted my skin to be stretchable :) to early to say if i will or won't get any stretch marks but all fine at the moment...and i got the big-uns!

I would definitely think it would be a good idea and certainly can't hurt.

I'm not a big fan off "stretch mark creams".
I have covered myself with them in the past and still got stretch marks.
It all depends on your skin and I dont think creams can prevent them xx

Defo!
Defo a good idea! I didnt do it at all, dont know why, just didnt cross my mind! Because of that i've had really bad stretch marks! Theyve got better now after using bio oil for a few weeks, but they looked awful, really red.
So yes hun, get moisturising! :) xx

I didn't at all, and I ended up getting stretchmarks. They've faded now, but I do wonder if I'd moisturised if I'd have had them at all.

Re: Moisturizing Pre op boobs
I was told re pregnancy stretch marks that it's more genetic than to do with moisturising but it can't hurt so prob worth a try

Re: Moisturizing Pre op boobs
i moisturise all over everyday anyway so didn't change my usual routine leading up to the op, just carried on doing it everyday as usual with my normal moisturiser, nothing special. So far so good, no stretchmarks or tightness or anything, but my implants wern't too big. I would definately start moisturising if you don't usually thgh as its a good habit anyway makes you skin more supple. since my op been using bio oil once a day as well as my normal moisturising xxxxxxxxxx
