Bra at night time?
Hi ladies,
I was just wondering how many of you continue to still wear the sports bra to bed? I saw Mr Hassan last week for my check up appointment and asked the question as to when I could ditch wearing the sports bra to bed. He said definitely to continue to wear it until 12 weeks but it was beneficial to wear it all the time at night after this to avoid them drooping in time?!
I certainly don't want to end up with them sagging but hadn't considered i'd have to wear a sports bra to bed long term! Clearly a bit of a passion killer when you have to put it back on after to sleep in!!! lol.
I guess I'm just wondering how many of you post op ladies do continue to wear a sports bra to bed & does it really stop the sagging or are they going to give way to gravity anyway? Also Is it also more likely after having implants that you require an uplift in the future due to the weight of the implants?
sorry for rambling!!!! Thanks xxx

Re: Bra at night time?
hmm when i went for my 6week check which was actually at 8 weeks i was told i could go about as normal from then on so i just presumed that i didn't have to wear sports bras atall and i could sleep bra-less! i have thought about wearing one in bed again as it feels weird having these boobs kind of in the way lol
So in answer to your Q i'm not wearing anything at night xx

Thank you ladies. I certainly agree it does feel comfy wearing it ..... at the same time I'd like to be able to just get ready for bed and not have to think about putting a sports bra on! Small price to pay for pert boobies I guess !!! :heehee: Xxx

Re: Bra at night time?
I was told i could sleep braless from 2 weeks and began doing it every other night to begin with cos it felt odd. I havent worn one at night at all since 4 weeks tho and i now sleep practically on my front too. I was also told i could treat my boobs as normal and not to worry although its probably best to take the advice of ur ps . I think drooping is probably more likely if you went braless during the day . Have to say tho hun u look great in ur avi xxx

Thanks so much Hun, you are looking fab too!
I prefer the advice you were given! Was kind of hoping to be able to treat them like my own boobs. He dd say it was up to me but he recommended I wear a bra to bed to keep them where they should be. however, it's good to know I don't always have to! Not tried the sleeping on mŷ front yet though! i know hun, can't believe it's been almost 12 weeks already! I feel like I've had them forever though!!! I am very happy, they have settled and dropped really nicely and are now feeling lovely and soft. I'm allowed to wear wires in another week which I'm sooo excited about!
So glad to hear you are doing well and loving your new boobs too :) xxxx

Re: Bra at night time?
I think after time nature just has a way of making things head down south so i think hes given you advise so that this doesnt happen which in all honesty i think is great becuase he is thinking about you long term. I will be wesring my sports bra at night most occasions as i would prefer that then saggy boobs again.

Re: Bra at night time?
Thanks Vicci. Too true, after all the money I've paid I would hate for them to start sagging. Perhaps I'll have the odd night off for hubby's sake, as he's the one who is struggling with it most!! Lol xxx

Re: Bra at night time?
I am pre ba and I always where a bra, even at night. most of my girlfrinds think thats strange and my bf got used to it really quick. when I was very young I heard that a doc said, keeping a bra on at night will avoid them from sagging.... never new if it's true but thought it's an easy way to avoid sagging, you don't take off the bra. so I have always done it, it feels normal to me and doesn't botter me at all and who knows maybe it's true, at least my boobs are according to the my surgeon very firm and good skin.... then again they are small so now wonder.
I would say if you feel comfortable then just leave your normal bra on over night, think it's unnecessary to change into a sports bra since a normal bra should give you support too. xx

Re: Bra at night time?
I was 6 wks po yesterday and told I could ditch it - so I did! it was odd to start and when i moved and felt my skin around the scar stretch it did worry me abit but it def felt nice to have them freed!!
slightly concerned about the sagging thing though - although i'd still like them to soften and drop a bit atm so i'' def be going to bed braless for a while!

Re: Bra at night time?
I don't wear a bra to sleep in as I don't think gravity has much affect on pushing them down. I do however have good elasticity in my skin. If I have kids and lose elasticity I will probably wear a sports/support bra to bed. If I had an uplift I'd probably wear one to bed too. Or get a kush like cookie uses

Sorry, what's a kush?

Re: Bra at night time?
This is really interesting how some of you do and some of you don't continue to wear a bra to bed. I guess it is therefore whether or not you feel it may be beneficial long term. I had a look at the bravissimo sleepwear with built in support and think I will buy some of the tops I can wear with my usual pj bottoms.
I am very intrigued as to what a Kush is?? Xxx
