For all private treatment girls
When you had your op were you allowed to have someone stay with you in your room?
I'd really like my OH to stay with me as I hate staying on my own in hospitals.

My mum was meant to have left by about 8ish but she stayed until 11pm....personally I liked mummy not staying all night coz I was already restless...her snoring would have made me worse!!! lol x

Re: For all private treatment girls
I loved staying there alone, the hospital was like a hotel with a flat screen on the wall and bathroom, i took my portable dvd player because i woke up a few times during the night and just put a dvd on, found it nice and relaxing to be looked after by all the nurses too lol x
Re: For all private treatment girls
I suppose I will enjoy it. I'm just comparing it to NHS wards I guess. They freak me out.

Re: For all private treatment girls
I wasn't allowed to have my OH stay after 9pm but he left at 8:15 anyway so he could get home in time to watch 24 in peace. I didn't mind being alone overnight coz my room was nice, the staff were lovely and I had the tv on all night.
You'll be fine.

I dont think they can stay but i cant say for sure as I was day case.
They are such lovely places though, so quiet and they really do look after you.. nothing like the NHS!!!

Re: For all private treatment girls
I dont think they would allow anyone to stay Jemmy..... for health and safety reasons!!!
To be honest I would think you will be too busy sleeping to know!!
Private Hospitals are far removed from NHS, They are running a bussiness they are like hotel rooms...room service (Chef) and food yummy!!
I had mine in London St. Lukes Fitzroy Square!! even a spa facility!!
P.S. That is why it costs soo much!!

Re: For all private treatment girls
I was a day case for my boobs, but when I had my wisdom teeth out with BUPA I had my own private room with bathroom, shower, TV, phone... everything! My OH stayed with me the whole time, and if I had to stay overnight he would have done. I was in there until about 10pm.
