hello I'm back :-)
Hello lovely ladies oldies and newbies
I've not been on here for ages as unfortunately during certain months of the year work consumes me .
This is just a touch base message to say hi to you all and to see what's going on in the BA world.
Quick history reminder I had trilucent implants aged 26, had them removed due to them being taken off the market when I was 32 (both had ruptured) I then had a reop last year due to capsular contracture and was horrified to learn weeks before my reop that I actually had PIPS!!!! Then I was unlucky and one of my new implants didn't drop properly so I had another adjustment op to have that sorted. Phew!!!! So much easier to type it rather than live it
I am so lucky to have an amazing surgeon now (Sir John Davison) ps I knighted him myself he isn't actually a Sir. He has been an amazing support and my surgerys last year were a much more pleasant experience then my previous ones.
I've had a follow up appointment today which was informative in many ways and also told me what I believe in that I think my right breast may be showing early signs of CC....I'm going to live with it for now and see how things go in the future. Guess I should start saving though .
I'm going to be interested to see how the government decide to deal with the PIP situation as I may make a claim against my previous surgeon and would be interested to see what others on here decide to do.
Ps if there is some advice I could give you lovely beautiful ladies having been through so much myself and from research I've done is that the most important thing to do in deciding to go on a BA journey is choose the best surgeon you can....not one who is just nice, not the one who is giving the best loan rates, not the one who will put the biggest possible implants in....but the one who doesn't just see you as a way of making money, and the one who gives time to you, to discuss your concerns and who doesn't pressure you into making a rushed decision. I'm lucky I found a great surgeon but it took me two sets of dodgy implants before I did (and trust me my original surgeon is a highly regarded surgeon in the industry).
Take care lovely ladies and as Arnold Schwaziperson said...."i'll be back"

Re: hello I'm back :-)
Thanks Jojo6 yes it's been a long journey and one I'm sure isn't over yet but like I said to my surgeon today, I've never regretted having a BA, it changed my life but I regret choosing a surgeon who had no care for his patient and who appears to have used cheap implants to ensure his profit margin was healthy. xxx

Re: hello I'm back :-)
Hi Momojak
It's been years n years hun coz I'm 43 next week!!! lol.
I said to my surgeon today that my greatest respect for him was when he advised me I would need surgery to correct my CC...he told me to go and get my money together and to come back to him when I was ready. He never tried to force a loan on me, he never told me if I made a decision this week I would get a special offer...he never had a team of sales people call me etc. I'm so glad I went with him and not a big group. Then when you have the op it's paid for....sorted...done!
Re the guilt that's so natural hun, I fought with this too, but at the end of the day if you are choosing the surgery because it will make you a happier more confident Mummy then that's not a bad thing is it!!!!!
Good luck with your journey hun xxx

Hi Yeti. Lovely to see you.
Sorry to hear you're having yet more problems but at least you have a fab surgeon on your side this time.

Re: hello I'm back :-)
Hi Sally
Well to be honest I'm just going to live with it for now and will see how things pan out in the future. I couldn't face putting myself through any further surgery at this time and will reconsider things if and when it shows itself again.
Hope you are well hun xx

I'm very good and the boobies are fine...I think...although I'm fairly sure righty is showing early signs of CC again :-( I'll see how things go and I'm certainly not going to be putting myself through any further surgery in the near future. Two ops last year was more than enough for now!!! xx

yetti did the re-op hurt as much as the first time? I'm gettting a re-op n I'm getting super scared bcause I DID have lots of pain...Not sure if it was more due to the full anchor lift but it hurt n I don't want to feel that pain again!
