How do you go about getting a re-op? Empty How do you go about getting a re-op?

Post by GucciGucci 4th January 2012, 5:34 pm

Hey lovely girls,

Sorry I've not been about much, everything's been a bit crazy recently.

To cut a long story short, I'm really unhappy with my boobs. I'm not happy with the size or the shape (and these are things a surgeon can try and brush over with excuses) but my scars are in two different places! wtf

I'm absolutely fuming! Who am I meant to speak to about this and what is the general procedure when you have a complaint? I haven't heard from anyone at MYA since I got my admission time!

Also, if I do get a re-op, what happens to the position of my scars? Is that something that can be corrected, or will I be left with this embarrassment?! x

Im so sorry to hear this hun, whats wrong with the size, too big or small? and the shape. They would usually go through the same scar tissue for a re-op.

I think, they're way too small. I know I won't get a free re-op because I'm unhappy with the size.

My scars are in 2 completely different places! One is higher than the other and one appears to be more neater than other. All in all, it just looks unprofessional to me and I feel like I've spent all that money and the surgeon couldn't take more than 5 seconds to draw on me properly!

What is wrong with yours? At 4 weeks post op you are nowhere near "finished". They take so long to drop into the end result, and they do look odd for quite a while. My scars (and boobs) were at totally different levels for a while, but they have evened out now. One of my scars was flat and neat, and the other was like a puckered worm, but in the last few weeks it has flattened down and looks just as neat as the other.

Did you have overs or unders? Unders take AGES to stop changing,I'm 9 weeks PO tomorrow and although my boobs have dropped the actual implant hasn't even started to obey gravity yet. Some girls see changes up to a year after their op.

The size...assuming the 525s you agreed on were used you won't get anywhere complaining about that chick. Is it boob greed,or did you have a totally different picture in your head?

If I were you I'd give it another month or so before complaining, but I hope you get the result you wanted in the end. xx

At this stage post op it is normal for your scars to be different and your boobs to look a funny shape. They probably wont look how they are going to look until about 6 months. I dont think you have any grounds for a re op yet, as they are no where near healed enough. I think you need to make your surgeon aware of your unhappiness at your check up and then be patient and see how they turn out.

Maybe your just having boobie blues, you certainly wont be 'small' with 525's im now a 28gg and that for me will be a struggle to get bras that size (but im very happy) your probably now getting used to the swelling going down.

The surgeon wont do a re-op not unless there is something medically wrong or he believes a re-op is needed, ie the size wont be an option.

Hi,
Sorry to hear you're unhappy- I think most of us have days of boob greed or feeling they're not big enough, but just take a bit of time. Unfortunately it's not something that's instant- maybe if you took pictures it would help? That certainly helped me last week when I felt 'small' Taking the photos made me look at them and think- wow they're not small! As for the scars- I have heard of others having scars in different places if your boobs are slightly uneven to start with- a good friend of mine had this, and now the scars are totally healed, you can't see them unless you look for them.
Try and stay positive and think of how you felt pre-op.

Hey hun xx

I agree with Misf and the other girls sweety xx

It can take a while to 'adjust' to the new you and you will still be a bit swollen and wotnot xx my boobs are still a bit odd shaped on the under side and the scars are different on each boob xx my scars are no where near the creases yet and I have a little bit of puckering at either end of the scar lines xx I saw my PS the other day again and he was saying how I still had some settling, dropping and changes to go through and, as he is closely monitoring the result bearing in mind the issues I've had, he wants to see me again in 3 months time to monitor and check all the changes xx

Sweety we are really early days and I know that my op and result (Let's face it I will never had fantastic boobs sadly, they have been through too much) are totally different to yours, but try to be a little patient and relax a bit xx

I have appalling scars from op one and two and the ones I have from op 3 are perfect compared to those, but they are not perfect in themselves....if that makes sense, one has opened a bit at the outer edge maybe to 5 mm BUT this will fade and in time they will be white an hardly noticeable xx

They will not take your complaint seriously yet I wouldn't have thought, you are just too early post op xx Like Misf says I would raise your concerns with your PS when you see him and get him to note them down and then if after 4 to 5 months if you are still unhappy go back and see him and take things further xx

Hope this helps gorgeous lady xx

Aw Gucci, try and stay positive. I only had 350cc and I am more than happy with my size. Give it a couple of months just to see if they look any better. I am sure that you look beautiful but you can never help the way you feel. Don't do anything too rash.xx

Agreed...I'm almost 4 months, not weeks, but months PO, and I'm just barely finding now that I can push my boobs together and that they're barely starting to get that natural, squishy feeling, and I have unders. My scars, too, are a little crooked as one sits higher than another, but I can see them start to even out. We need the patience fairy to sprinkle patience dust on us :)

GG sorry you're feeling so unhappy. I'm sure it will all be fine with a bit more time to heal. So many changes to go through and these things don't happen overnight. With 525's you won't be small but our eyes can deceive us at times. Give yourself some more time xx
