Right size sports bra??
Morning all....
My boobies are very heavy and sore im just wondering if my sports bra is to tight, how should they fit and should I be measuring myself at this stage perhaps. Im wearing a 36DD and I have a 34e that fits quiet nice but thats a lonsdale one and I think they measure small?? How tight should they be on the cup ladies?

Re: Right size sports bra??
Hi huni, they do need to be quite tight & supportive but not so they are digging in or causing you discomfort. They especially need to be able to sit beneath the scars so they don't touch them. (or that's what the nurse told me).
I found the Lonsdale ones came up small. I had 32 DD ones but could have done with an E cup. I would say if you think it's not right then go and try on a few to get an idea of your current size. It's a really tricky stage because of the swelling & you haven't dropped & fluffed yet... & don't want to spend a fortune on sports bras!
Yours pics were fab by the way. You must be thrilled!! xxx

Re: Right size sports bra??
Peggysue I'm a novice as you know! My nurse advised you should be able to fit 2 fingers under the band. The cup shouldn't make any crease marks on your skin. I dashed out to sports direct yesterday and they only had lonsdale bras. I bought a couple and not sure if it's a coincidence but i feel more uncomfortable today and the seam is over my nipple, which is making them sensitive. Also, the band seems to be sitting too high on my dressings. It's possible the type of bras you have are not giving enough support to your big boobies! I had been wearing a royce bra and felt brilliant in that but it was feeling too loose the last couple of days. It's hard as like you I don't want to waste too much money on sports bras x

Re: Right size sports bra??
Smallblue your Avi looks fab! I know what you mean about the Lonsdale ones though, not as much support and I found they kept riding up. I find them ok now though & they are great to wear to bed!
I actually found the tesco high impact bra the most supportive & comfortable! xxx

Wohooo at your 36 E's! You will almost certainly be in an F/FF cup!
Yes it makes such a difference to have a good supporting sports bra, especially helps with morning boob! xxx

Re: Right size sports bra??
This is a great thread! All the avis look great!!! The tesco Bras look good but don't go up to a 38e which is what I've been in for sports bras! I love my Lonsdale one although not quite at supportive- asda ones are better than my shock absorbers! Trial and error!

Re: Right size sports bra??
I agree the white Tesco High Impact sports bras are great . I have a couple of black med support ones which are really comfy at night. The white ones are great during the day but do dig in to my stitches a little at night. If I sleep in them I have to roll some kitchen roll or put a sock along the seam!! xx

Ouch, yes I had morning boob for the first few weeks hun. It gradually got better each day. The first 14 days I would say was the worst. I'd have to pull myself up very gently and hold into them for 5 mins or so until I felt able to move! The tesco high impact bra was great for sleeping in as it definitely helped to hold them In place!! Congrats on your F cups :))) xxx

Re: Right size sports bra??
The ones I am am wearing in my Avi fit well but I am a real wriggler at night and so is my bf!! I can't help tucking my arms under my head then moving from side to side
The sports bras are all reduced at the moment in Redditch, Tescos but not my local one in Evesham. They were down to £4 when I went in earlier. Didn't buy any because I went mad on loads of sexy stuff in La Senza. I was gutted because there are so many cheap bras and knickers but I can't really guess what my final size is going to be so the bras will have to wait for the spring sales somewhere else.x
