6 days post-op ... and stll exhausted!!!!
What's wrong with me?? I'm 6 days post-op and I am still feeling exhausted!! I haven't had any problems with pain so i've just put the co-codimols away in a drawer when i got back from hospital. I finished the anti-biotics yesterday.
I have to force myself out of bed - even if i've had tons of sleep. I need to have a lie down during the day if i do something active (like walk to the shop! lol).
Oh well ... i am going back to work tomorrow ... should be interesting!!
Out of interest did it take anyone else longer than they expected to get themselves back to normal. I am very busy, active, full of energy normally.
Let me know if you have any tips!
(maybe its my body giving out in protest about the disgusting state of my unwashed hair?!?)

Completely normal! You are healing so will be really tired up to 2+ weeks hun, i was the same and if my body was tired i let it sleep as i know it helped me heal x

I agree, your body needs extra energy to heal and recover...

I'm 5 days post op and feeling just the same! Sooo tired... walking to the shop for ten minutes yesterday knackered me. I'm making myself get out of bed each day, but then spending pretty much most of my time on the sofa! Good to hear that it's normal though :)

Awww... yeah I wouldn't want to go back to work just yet. I think I'd have to have an IV of coffee just to get through the day awake! I've got another week before I go back thankfully. Enjoy your last day of home !

Hi!!
Normally takes about 10 days to rid your body of G.A. and meds!!
All normal, you have just been through an emotional journey too, which takes it toll by making us listen to our body and rest.!!!
Fighting it wont work...just listen to your body and rest, drink lots of water and healthy diet......and of course think of the really good bit xxxx

It is probably the anathestic still cos it can linger in some more than others -drink lots of water and you have had quite big ones and I am sure the recovery is a wee bit longer so good luck with work tomorrow and don't forget those glasses !
