Re: breastfeeding with overs
At my consultation (Im pre op) my surgeon said that for some people it does mean they cant breastfeed. I dont know if there are actually any statistics on this or not, hopefully someone else will know? xxx

Re: breastfeeding with overs
My surgeon told me that it doesn't really affect breast feeding whether they're over or under. And that some women can't breast feed anyway without implants and it's the same with them too. From what he said I don't think there's a massive risk you won't be able to after your BA. Xxx

Thanks for the info, just wondering do you have any pictures? I am so torn about overs/unders... really wana go with overs but as i am an A now my boyf thinks they will look really fake. How have you found yours? are they nice and soft, and do they bounce? and was the pain afterwards bareable... sorry for all the questions its just you were small before your op and im hoping to get to around a D cup too

Re: breastfeeding with overs
Two of my friends have overs and successfully breastfed but did warn me that post pregnancy I will probably need my boobs done again.
That said one of those friends says hers look even better now post pregnancy and feeding. I have only seen her in a bikini not completely uncovered but have to say they are pretty damn impressive!
Re unders vs overs: what options have you been given by your surgeon? I can't have unders as my pc muscles are high and tight so I have to have partial unders or overs dependant which surgeon I choose to go with.

Re: breastfeeding with overs
Yeah I'll message you my picture trail login and password! Mine looked fake for about 2 weeks and now they are sooo soft and just look natural. Even my boyfriend keeps commenting saying how natural they look! I quite liked the fake cleavage look though! I do love them so much though! And I had no pain at all, I would honestly willingly have another op tomorrow than visit the dentist! Xxx

Re: breastfeeding with overs
thankyou so much i had a look they look lovely and its really weird because your pre op are exactly like mine are now!! so was really helpful to see them and the different stages of healing... what did your surgeon say about the capsular contracture risk? do you have to keep massaging them?

Re: breastfeeding with overs
Aww thank you :-) I'm so pleased with them as pre op I was very unsure about having the op! But I'm so glad I did now and the difference in my confidence is amazing! He said there's always a risk of capsular contracture and that it develops eventually as its scar tissue, but some women might end up getting it more severely more quickly. I haven't had to massage them or anything though! Xxx

i know what you mean about the unsureness, one day im like yeah bring it on, the next im like what am i doing, but i know i do want it so just guna have to persevere ... the CC scares me but i have heard that massaging them trys to keep the capsule open or something?

Re: breastfeeding with overs
My friend breastfed successfully 3 years after her BA and she had overs.
My surgeon says that they do not cut the milk ducts so that breastfeeding should be possible with either overs or unders and neither one is better than the other. I hope to have another baby one day and hope to breastfeed again. I had overs. Hope that helps a bit. xx
