surround urself with pillows hun and my v pillow was well worth getting too. I didnt like having to sleep on my back but you do get used to it and the first few nights i took pain killers which helped me sleep. It's not for long and well worth it!! xxx Good luck, bet ur getting really excited now
As for coming round after the GA everybodies different, I went to theatre at about 12.15 and was back in my room texting people by 1.20pm although was drifting in an out of sleep all afternoonxxx

You'll definitely feel better if you sleep almost sitting up (swelling and morning boob won't be as bad). A heating pad on your back and frozen peas on your boobies will help with the discomfort. So exciting almost there!!

Defo agree with the frozen peas and heated pad.
I'm 10days post op, and have just started sleeping half on side, half on back. I also took night nurse before i went to bed - (not with the painkillers) it completely knocks you out, got a great sleep :)
Regarding the GA, i think you will be out for approx an hour, they have got it down to a fine art now, with height/weight etc and know exactly how much you need. I was on the phone texting and calling people straight after I was so excited haha, but after was dosing for a couple of hours.
Good luck hun

Hello, definitely get a v pillow (argos do good cheap one with pillow case) and make sure you time your last meds about half an hour before you go to bed as they help knock you out.
Keep your meds and water next to the bed for the morning as well first couple of days as morning boob isnt cool!
I always used to sleep on my side and was panicking about not sleeping on my back but you get used to it quickly.
Went down for my op at 9 45 and was back in my room totally with it by 11. Anaesthetic is easy part!
Good luck!! xx (forgot take a battery or electric toothbrush for day after as I couldnt even brush my teeth hubby had to do it!)

I'm looking forward to the rest too!!!!!!!! I'm hoping that I'm not being naive in thinking I will enjoy the rest after!!!! Pain and discomfort I can deal with!!!!!! I'm hoping I can sleep ok... I plan on doing a lot of it whilst I'm left to recover!!!!
