euck guess what i found!
hi ladies hope your all well.
i was in the bathroom yesterday evening inspecting my scars, i run my fingers over the scars because one had been itching, it felt like something sharp was poking out so i got the tweezers and gave a small pull, and there is was a DISSOLVABLE stitch yuk, it was hard like dry glue, i had my b/a on 4th august so didint expect to be having stitches coming out of my scar after all this time. lol

I get quite a few of these. I give them a gentle pull and if they come out great. If they don't I cut them as short as I can. My nurse said this was fine and that it's normal to get them for months after. I have to admit I like pulling out the stitches, especially if they've been irritating me, it's such a relief and then my skin can heal properly xx

That's happened to me too...such a weird feeling. I'm only 9 weeks post BA, and am sure I still have dis solvable stitches in me, I can feel them sometimes under the incision...it's still a little lumpy feeling lol.

Ooh yes I have one poking out the Left side of my steri strip where it's started to come away. I have my nurse appointment tomorrow to have the steri strips removed so was going to ask her about it. Are they easy to pull out then? Didn't want to have a go... I'm a bit queasy like that so hoping I don't find too many!! Lol xxx

egh!! Thank goodness - touch wood - I haven't had this little treat happen to me! Doesn't sound nice.
Although... it kind of sounds like the satisfaction of pulling one out might be similar to the satisfaction of plucking an ingrown hair out... kind of gross and pleasurable all at once...

Jojo - if you're going to the nurse anyway, just let her do it. My PS snipped mine, rather than pulling them out. I'd let the pros handle it haha!
