Re: can i go???
god, what pressure lol! i was still quite out of normal life at that stage but compared to many others i seemed to be a slow healer. everyone recovers at different rates, just take it easy and listen to your body it will tell you what to do!

Re: can i go???
Hi Kara, I stayed at home for the first 2 days after my op as I still felt the effects of the GA but after that I was out every day. I found during the first couple of weeks I became tired very easily and it was a nighmare trying to find something to wear that covered up my sports bra!! All I would say is take it easy, your body will let you know if your overdoing it.

Re: can i go???
hi Kristenb, i can totally relate with regards to slow healing seems like it takes me 3x longer than your average just to get over a cold!
thanks FloJo, defo will take each day as it comes and if im not feeling up to it i just wont go. No poin jeapordising everything for the sake of a few hours and she probably wont even notice im not there! haha!

Re: can i go???
I've been out most days since 3 days post op, only for shortish periods though. I have also been super tired so haven't had staying power that I normally do. I am 6 days post op now and if I had to attend a wedding I feel I could; I probably just couldn't do a really late night and I wouldn't drink any alcohol or do any dancing.
I think you will be fine if you don't party too hard! Good luck with your surgery.

Re: can i go???
Yup, I agree with most comments - think you could do with waiting to see how you feel day before or even on the day. Even if you only manage a couple of hours it'd be good for you to go too - I think all the emotional lead up to this makes us knackered after! so a party that you dont have to party-hard at will be great to chill out for you.
Also, depending on how you feel (you never know you might find it easier than you expect! - fingers crossed for you) ... and if you have had the larger dressings removed by then you might even want to let 'them' out for a couple of hours too
