What should I do? (Bra size) Empty What should I do? (Bra size)

Post by spittingfairy 13th November 2011, 4:41 pm

I'm now ten days PO,and still have the same measurements as I had on day 1 (28.5 under bust,36 over). I'm gagging to go to Bravissimo and get properly sized, but at the moment I really can't afford to buy pricey bras, especially if my size is likely to change.

The problem I have is this: My M&S 34D bras are now just not fitting. The are a tad tight on the cup (except in the middle by cleavage, which is still wrinkly because boobs haven't dropped yet) and far too loose on the band. If I put my shoulders back, the band doesn't even touch my skin on my back! What should I do? (Bra size) 557141

Should I get measured somehwere decent, then just buy an Asda sports bra (I have one in 34DD,the cups are slightly too big,and when I was there they only had 32 bands in stock up to a C) or,is it likely I won't change cup size for a while, which would make it worth buying a more expensive one??

My ribs are back to pre-surgery size. And I'm not sure whether having a loose band is better or worse when it comes to rubbing on my scars?

Help!

I would go somewhere else and try and find some bras in a tighter band. Try probably a 32DD - that will be similar to the 34D you're wearing, only giving you more cup space, and a snugger fitting band...

If Asda doesn't have the stock, maybe try a Tescos instead? I personally would still try and be a bit cheap about it, but you need something that fits at the end of the day.

Hi hun, I'm not great with this size thing but I have exactly the same measurements as you & recently popped into La Senza and fitted perfectly into a 32 E! (the bra in my avatar!). I would say you are certainly bigger than the D cup & I find I'm kind of inbetween a 32 and 34 band but the 32 fits best, which means I have to go up a cup size xxxx

Thanks girls. I went to Bravissimo on Monday and was measured a 30F!

I know i'll probably be 32E in some shops, but I'm so happy with that, and it just goes to prove how wrong the M&S lady was! (She measured me a 34D "Just")

Wearing this 30F support bra feels a million times better than the 34D one!
