Bra size
Hi girls, Thought this link is quite interesting on how to get the right bra/back size. It doesn't actually tell you what size you are though

Re: Bra size
That's a good link! The video at the end is helpful, think I have a few of them fitting problems at the moment haha. I used this calculator today to measure my mum, thought it was pretty good! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Hahah! Oh dear, I measured my mum earlier and she went out to buy bras thinking I was some kind of bra expert... she's not back yet and forgot her phone , just praying she tried them on first or got measured properly at M&S! xxx

Re: Bra size
Thanks! This would explain why my everyday nonwired M&S bra is a 32C, not a 34B. I find they all fit so differently anyhow.

Re: Bra size
and she went with the size the calculator gave her I know she took my "knowledgeable" advice but you should see the bras she bought, they're tiny (for her anyway) - at least 2 cup sizes too small!
I did think it was a bit weird them giving her such a small cup size, but she's put on a bit of weight so I thought the larger back size equated into a smaller cup size.. maybe she's put on weight both ways?
She's pretty annoyed ooops... at least she can take them back I suppose! Never using that crap again lol xx

Re: Bra size
I read the article which is what my previous post was based on, but didn't see the video, guess I won't waste my time then!
Oh your mum must be annoyed, did shetry them on at the shop? Yeah, otherwise I'm surprised too that they let her leave with those

Ha ha, That did make me chuckle!!!!!! Can't wait to get fitted properly - I'm not trusting any of this online calculators anymore, they all come up far too small & all give different results! xxx

Re: Bra size
There seem to be all sorts of misunderstandings about bra sizes and boob sizes - both pre- and post- BA!
All bra sizes measure the back (or band size) ie under the bust - and then the cup size, ie on a scale of the difference between the band size and the measurement round the fullest part of the bust.
So, unless you've put on loads of weight, the band size should not change! Yet many post an increasing band size post-op, together with the (expected) increased cup size. Confused? I am...

However,it is normal to go up at least 1 band size post-op. You can swell quite severely around your ribs. It doesn't last long, but that's usually why people go up band sizes for the first month.
