Alergan CUI or Inspira soft touch?

Hi girls,

need your views

Have option of going 260cc allergan or 240cc inspira soft touch.

I know the Inspira range are FDA approved and have 15 yr guarantee- but are £400 more.

so confused as to which to go for!!!!

I did some research on them hun and found that the inspiras soft touch have a slightly thicker wall which reduces the risks, i talked to my surgeon about them and he basically said the same hun. Although a lot of girls on here have had the normal allergan ones and have had no problems at all. I think its a personal choice, maybe try and research on the net hun and see what you feel comfortable with and talk to your surgeon and PC if you are still unsure. Im sure the other girls will be along soon and be much more help than me lol

Inspiras have a lifetime guarantee and CUIs have 10, i went for inspiras for the lifetime x

I have CUIs.

I reasoned that I'll have to have them replaced in about ten years anyway, so a lifetime guarantee wasn't that big of a deal to me, but it's best to follow your gut and go for what suits you and your lifestyle.

As for feeling... I've not felt anyone elses! Mine feel very squishy now, but I did have overs which means they'll be a lot less restricted than unders.

I'm having overs too, so I hope mine will be squishy!! how long did it take to be squishy though?

2 of my friends had theirs done last year, if I'd seen them recenly I'd have had to ask for a feel! Hysterical

I felt both as my surgeon had both on the table and the Soft touch were a little more squishier, could hardly tell any other difference though.
The lifetime guarantee was important to me because implants last alot longer these days than the old silicone and saline so expect to have them for 20+ years if nothing goes wrong with them, the changing the every 10 years doesnt apply to the new implants

Does anyone know what actually happens to them that you have to change them at 10 or 20 years? Do they get smaller, or split or not safe anymore?

The only reason to change an implant/s is if you get a rupture/capsular contracture or another complication, most complications are likely to happen soon after your BA, basically if it aint broke dont fix it! x

My surgeon only uses Allergan ones, Softtouch and Responsive. The Responsive is much squishier than the Softtouch but is more likely to ripple if you don't have much breast tissue. He also said it is very important whichever implants you have that they are textured, not smooth.

Think you are more likely to need re-ops in the future due to skin ageing, stretching etc and how the implants "sit" on you rather than any issues with the implant itself, which are lasting longer and longer these days.

Also Responsive is less cohesive than Soft Touch, thats why its softer x

Good point LMT.

My implants feel mega squishy now. Compared to natural boobs they're still firmer, but feel much more natural now then they did, say 3 months ago.

Have you compared any differences in width and projection between the two?

I've gone for the Soft Touch for the same reasons Nads did.
They seem safer than silicone gel and have thicker walls. I feel better too, knowing that they have a lifetime guarantee rather than just 5 years and through Mybreast you get £700 off any costs if you have to have a re op in the future. I think that more that makes it worth the extra £400.
