Pre-op assessment, sizes... Empty Pre-op assessment, sizes...

Post by georgie88 7th May 2009, 8:35 pm

Hi everyone,

So... I went for my pre-op today. I had decided upon what i thought were allergan anatomical 195g moderate height, x-full projection implants. The nurse said i was actually deciding between the mod, full 195s or mod, x-full 225s- not both x-full, in which case the width and height of the implant is exactly the same!! the only difference is 0.9mm projection between the two! i'm going back on monday just to clarify a few things with my surgeon but surely 0.9mm projection, if it's the only difference is hardly anything at all!

Just when i thought i had made my decision aswell!

Any thoughts?

You're confused? So am I! Which do you think looked best in the consult then?

I've tried them both on a few times now, the 225's looked slightly bigger than i want and the 195's looked slightly smaller! i thought the projection of them was almost the same (0.2mm difference) and it was the other measurements that were different but i was obviously looking at both in extra-full projection. I therefore chose the 195s thinking they might look a tiny bit bigger once they were in! i'm probably thinking far too much into this, but i can't help it now and tonight has just thrown me!

Some of the other post-op girls might be more help but I think the sizers always look slightly larger than they actually end up once they are in your body. In which case the 225's might be just right...I know I thought the 220's looked quite big on me but they are pretty small implants really (220 is the 2nd smallest in the whole Inspira round range) so I'm not too worried.

Good luck with deciding..

ps we are 3 weeks tomorrow, eek! :pale:

My BWD is 11cm, both implants are 10.5cm width, 9.6cm height (anatomicals) and the 195 projects 4.2cm, and the 225 is 5.1cm, LMT... mine are about the 2nd and 3rd smallest on allergan anatomical range so i don't suppose either of them are 'big' implants! It's just me stressing.. but it's not like i'm buying a pair of shoes that i can take back if they don't fit so these things need to be given careful consideration!!!

Well thats good at least you know they'll fit your breast width and wont look narrow on your frame, i guess it depends if you want them to stick out a little more since the width is the same, i would just let my ps decide on the day otherwise you may overthink it, either way you will have a lovely result i'm sure

32B = 30C yep, implants always seem to measure slightly bigger than they look and bra companies are all different with sizes, for e.g some are a 34D in M&S but a 34DD in La Senza, so concentrate on the look you're after more than the measurement, i think you'll look great with either implant and will look completely natural x

Hiya hunny, how confusing, well as you are going with the same surgeon as me and i had the same implants etc, i had the moderate, full projection but i was a 32B so did have some breast tissue to start with (you've seen my pics.) so if your smaller than me you may decide on that little extra projection. Im sure both will look fantastic but i would ask peter when you see him (sounds like he's my bessy mate the way i said that, haha) what he would recommend and which he thinks would be best for you. Im sure he'll put your mind at ease hun. Good luck and let me know how you get on, xxx
