insisions???
hi girls. id like to ask if anyone on this site has had areola insisions for there b.a?
theres not as much info out there for this procedure as there is for the crease insision which seems to be the norm. wuld luv to hear from any one whos had this done, and if it was choice, or recomended by surgeon and why. also healing, scars and if any loss of feeling in the nipple area.
many thanks. x

Re: insisions???
Hi Wanting,
I am having a nipple lift/doughnut lift with BA which involves only nipple incisions.... i haven't found many people that have had this either!!! Where are you booked? How comes you've opted for periareola?
What size implant are you having?

Re: insisions???
kiwi girl thanks, hope someone can advise.
hi debsrich. whats a nipple lift/ doughnut lift??? i know a basic b.a can be done with the areola but it dusnt seem to be the choic for the majoraty of girls or surgeons, and was wondering why. i havent opted for the areola am doing reserch on it, but not to much about. i went to see a clinic nurse and she sed its not the done thing anymore to much of a risk etc, she wasnt helpfull at all and i left more dazed than when i went in. not sure wat size i want but want it to fit my body frame. theres also the armpit insision i think that is gd from what ive seen again not to much about, and its all down to how skilled the p.s is aprently. the place i went to sed we do one type of implant, one insision crease only and ovars only.

Re: insisions???
Do you not want crease incisions? I'd rather have these as they're the done thing... obviously most common for a reason? The doughnut lift (I have been told) is a full uplift the way that my surgeon does it- nipple is cut off, skin pulled tight, excess revoved, which 'lifts' the breast, then combined with implant I should be happy.... FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!
Do not go to a copany that ONLY does one form of BA, e.g. all overs, all unders, all rounds, etc. the company, and more importantly the surgeon should be well experienced in all aspects of the surgery, and can make the right choice for you, your frame, and what outcome you want/expect!
Where have you been to? I am in Essex- been to Holly House to 2 different surgeons, Mr Fallahdar through NU Cosmetics, then Mr Hassan at THG which I've booked.

Re: insisions???
thanks for the info. sounds realy scarey discribing the lift. ouch. ive not heard the one you have discribed before. would the b.a not lift you up enough? having a lot of excess skin removed would reduice your b.a size? im terrified of scars, and was wondering where the best place would be to to conceale them if healing didnt go to well. i went to transform, and she sed the reason its done in the crease is becous access to the breast tissue is directley there where the implant would be be going. i felt very uncomfatable there, she even asked if i realy wanted it done when i started asking questions, then she went on to say she was having hers done there, i wasnt happy with the lack of pikkys she had on offer, it wasnt a nice place for me to be. i had a recomendation for ovars, nipple insision but its so confusing why there are so many diffrent surgeons telling you why they think you should have the b.a in a certion way. then another one tells you something totaly diffrent. xx

Re: insisions???
Yes I know what you mean- it's soooo confusing! They do all say different and have different ways of doing things. All I can say from what I've read, and my experience is go to different consults- when you meet the right surgeon you will 'know'. I felt like that with mr hassan, but it was my first consult so had nothing to compare to- I felt comfortable and confident enough to book there and then, but didn't as I'm not that naive- I went to the others, done loads of research, spoke to other surgeons and companies via phone and email, and decided that tHG was right for me, and mr hassan is going to give me the results I want! I felt he really took the time to understand what I want to achieve. THG give free consults, so I'd suggest maybe arranging one?
In terms of incision- crease scars are far less visible. With doughnut lift, I am having 445cc implants minimum. 1 surgeon suggested BA alone, but I know I won't be pleased with after result, as nipples will still be low.x

Re: insisions???
I had a doughnut lift on one side, as that breast had excess skin. They remove a doughnut shaped piece of skin from around your nipple and stitch the skin to your nipple. The nipple isn't removed. This youtube video explains it better [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I had crease incisions on both breasts because my implants were under the muscle, I'm not sure if it's possible to but an implant under the muscle from a nipple incision? Hope that helped. xx

Re: insisions???
Hi Louise,
This isn't how my surgeon explained?! But I am going back before surgery to go thru it again! Are you happy with result? Do you have any pics? There's not many people that have had this surgery on here...
I am having implants over the muscle... But thru the nipple incisions- so I'm not sure how this works.... On my forms I'm booked for a periareola lift with BA. I'm very confused about all the labels and different procedures- I thought what this meant was nipple lift, as did PCC, but surgeon has stressed it will be a full lift with the technique he uses?!
Confusing!!!!!!

Re: insisions???
Hi i had nipple incision on monday!! My surgeon preferes doing nipple but said it was my choice so i went with nipple!! his pros were that they are less irritated by your bra (support bras are uncomftable enough) and the scar is less noticeable as it blends in with the natural nipple line, i have seen some and you cannot see the scar unless it is pointed out, in most cases, where as with crease you can see the scar though it does fade alot, and looks fine :) i think it is just personal preference. I am glad i went with areola now, but i was against it at the start! I am really happy now :) x

Re: insisions???
I am not putting pics up yet because i still have plasters and stictches untill i am 2 weeks post op. but when they have gone ill put pics up. I went with a company called RedRose, surgeon was Dr knapper, at First Trust Hospital preston :) I have 375 cc in left breast and 400cc in my right, high profile overs. I also had drains to get rid of any excess blood as a precaution, so had seperate incisions under my armpits for the tubes, but they are so small that they dont even need stitches, so will not show up after i have healed :) x

Hi Debsrich, Yeah I'm really happy, I saw my nipple for the first time yesterday as it's been covered in tape. It's a lighter colour than it was, the scars are very neat but the skin is still a bit puckered around it. I know I've got to be more patient but it looks good so far.
I noticed that my nipple has been rotated because I had a nipple piercing and the scar is further round. How mental is that! My nipple is numb at the moment, but I'm hoping that the sensation will come back. I dont have any pictures on here I'm afraid.
I totally agree with you, its all very confusing and I find the surgeons dont tend to go into too much detail unless you ask them.

It's so funny you should say that.... I have had both my nipples pierced in the past... been closed 7 years... but I did think about the scars on those moving!! Ha!
Well keep me up to date with your progress..... congratulations!!!
Happy healing!!!!
