Not dropping
I had a post that said still small. Turns out maybe I feel small because I haven't dropped yet or fluffed! My doc actually said he is a little worried. Well that sure scares me! I never thought it was good if a doc said that he is worried. Now I am even more scared because I am at 5 weeks and he said that if I don't start dropping more soon, then I am going in for more surgery!

Re: Not dropping
Hi JummyBerry,
Don't worry to much.If they have to go in it would probably be just to clear away a little scare tissue to help the implant drop.My left one never dropped as far as my right and this past Wednesday I had an implant exchange. But the doctor did say if I had kept my original implants she would have had to go in and clear away a little scare tissue to let the lefty drop to the proper position.

Re: Not dropping
I don't want to go back under though. I didn't like it one bit. Not that I was supposed to or anything.. I don't want to pay for it though either. Or take time off of work. Or not go to the gym for another 6 weeks. This whole thought is killing me. I asked if I had to go back under could I get bigger implants then, and the doc said I would have to pay for new ones :(

Re: Not dropping
I understand about not wanting to go back under. Some revisions are covered and some things are not.It varies so much from doctor to doctor.Your still early on so yours may still drop.Did they have you wear a strap to help them drop quicker?I wore one the first time but this time I don't have one.Good luck Hun!

Re: Not dropping
I have been wearing the strap from day one. I never even take it off except to shower, it's always on, and always tight. I thought 5 weeks wasn't nearly enough time to consider going back in.

Re: Not dropping
Aw hun it does still seem a tad early for them to have fully dropped, are they still really high? If you wanted bigger implants on revision surgery then you would have to pay for that as they would usually on correct whats wrong. I would check what your covered for hun.

Re: Not dropping
I find that quite odd as my overs hadn't dropped an inch at 5 weeks post op. It may be that they need a little longer. Isn't the revision surgery free? Maybe the ps is just concerened and telling you the options for if they don't drop. So preparing you should that happen.
Re: Not dropping
THat does seem real soon. I am expecting to wait months for them to drop, as advised by my ps. Are they ridiculously high then?

Re: Not dropping
Actually, I don't think they are too high. Only one is a little high, but according to everything I have read on this site, they still have time. Is it my doctor who needs to be patient?

Re: Not dropping
I'm still wearing a sports bra, along w/ the strap. I'd really like to put on a bra, but the couple times I have tried, it feels very awkward.

Re: Not dropping
Yeah I think what he is saying is bizarre. It's all a waiting game. Some girls on here have waited over 6 months for them to drop. EAch surgeon seems to have their own ideas. I also feel uncomfortable in normal bras. I got a couple and tool the under wire out for when I am allowed to year them at 6 weeks. MY boobs don't move much yet so they don't really fit in them tesweet well. I can see how sports bras become like a comfort blanket to some girls! I would talk to your surgeon again and explain you would rather wait a while to see what happens perhaps?

Re: Not dropping
Yes, it does seem soon, but every surgeon is different. Some use the strap, while others don't let you wear a bra at all until they drop.
This surgeon may be seeing something that we don't hun, but still I though most waited 6 months to a year for revision surgery. Even with a seriously obvuious problem, most girls have to wait to get it corrected for a while.
Ask him what the problem is. Did he not make the pocket big enough? If it's his error then he should fix for free!
Although I know what you mean, puttng our lives on hold for 6 weeks stinks!
good luck

I wonder that now too. I will ask him this Friday when I see him if he possibly didn't make the pocket big enough because I have definitely been doing everything I was supposed to. I even sit at my desk as work and the lock the door several timed a day to massage them.... hmmm.. thanks for the info gals.. I am def going to have to look more into all of this
